Husband will be in Kearney tomorrow for a nerdy gamer thing. And we'll be driving by Wednesday on our way to Denver for another nerdy thing. I'll wave!

Love the pic of you and your furbabies!

I'm so sorry you lost one of yours while you were away having surgery. So did I. Mine was an almost 17 year old toy poodle named Benji. He went peacefully in his sleep while I was away. I was super sad that I never got to say goodbye.

It's so hard to lose a fur baby, especially when you've had them for so long.

good morning DD2 and my buds. I'm back, again. I had plastics on Tuesday afternoon and I'm feeling pretty good today, all things considering. I've been up and moving, despite the pain. The worst of it, at this point, is the muscle tightening and the strain on my back from walking hunched over. I'm keeping up on my pain meds, and taking miralax and docusate both, but I still haven't had a poop since surgery. I honestly think it was because for the first 2 days I could barely eat anything. This morning I seem to have my appetite back, and I was able to eat some solid food, so hoping for a good poop sometime today. I'm lucky that my hubby just happened to have a machine installation here locally this week, so while he's working, he's been home every night to help me shower and clean my incisions. Tht may deserves a medal, or something.

accountability: I haven't eaten as much as I should for the last few days, I'm sure that will change. I'm really trying to push the protein, and I'm supplementing a high protein diet with protein shakes.

22 months post rny

B: 3oz ground beef taco meat, with 1oz refried beans and 1slice of velveeta cheese. Coffee with SF coffeemate and miralax. Now I'm sipping on a premier protein shake

L: chicken breast with a bit of bbq sauce

D: more chicken breast with bbq sauce.

s: shrimp with reduced sugar ****tail sauce and at least one more premier protein drink.

totals (if I can actually get all of this food in)

calories 1068 protein 149 carbs 42 fat 34

I haven't prepared for the pics this week, so I don't have anything handy to post. I would post my current before and after pics, but they are a bit gruesome. I have to say that I am so amazed at my boobies! I have never had perky boobies, and they look so awesome already. the tummy is still swollen and it's difficult to get a good pic since I can't stand up straight yet, but the before and after is simply amazing. I'm so excited.

Protein like it's your job! That and get lots of fluids. When you're not feeling well I just got to go with when you feel like eating...

I was just thinking about you this morning as my hubby was helping me clean and dress my incisions. I thought, how could anyone do this to themselves more than once. If I had to go back, I know I'd do it again, but damn, the first few days are so miserable.

I guess it's kinda like having a baby. At first you think "never again" but then it kinda fades and you want another. whew.

Good to hear that you are doing well! Do have as much protein as possible as it will speed your recovery as well.
