6 months has flown by!
Yesterday was my 6 month f/u visit. I saw the nurse practitioner who was generally pleased with my progress. She did want me to increase my calories and carbs, but wasn't pushy about it when I told her that carbs are a trigger for me and I need to keep them low. She did strongly recommend exercise, which I know I need to start doing for my general health and to set me up for maintenance when that day comes.
I feel so privileged to have this surgery. My high weight was 350, I was 326 when I started my 10 day pre-op liquid diet and weighed in at 234 yesterday. Daily life is so much easier at this weight and I can't wait to see what the next 50+ pounds bring. I am very lucky to have the support of my wonderful husband who has literally loved me through thick and thin(ner). I'm also grateful to the people on this site who share their wisdom and struggles daily and help to keep me on track.
sounds like you are doing great, and I love to hear stories of others with great support systems. My husband has also been super supportive, aside from him being a bit nervous for me when having the actual surgery - LOL.
Keep up the great work!!!

This site is the best! It keeps me grounded in the reality that this is a LIFELONG journey, not just getting to goal!
You are doing great so far, continue on with your good habits, and Kudos to you for telling the NUT that you'll pass on the carbs!
