It's FINALLY here!
Typing this before we head out the door to the hospital - I have to be there just after 10am and my surgery is scheduled for just after 12pm. Thank you for all your supportive comments and well wishes, this community is awesome. I've got one more bottle of stuff to drink before I head out - thank GOODNESS this round of pre-surgery drink was actually pleasant and not that vile faux orange crap they had me choke down last time . It really does help with hunger and thirst so I definitely want it!
I feel weirdly zen today, I've been a basket of nerves leading up to today and I woke up this morning and thought 'wow...it's actually here'. I wonder what things will be like after, I have a plan....'walk, sip, toot, repeat'.
I'll update as soon as I can, and I'll probably be perusing the forums right up until they make me put away my phone.
cross fingers and toes for me, see you on the other side!
