Good Morning Menu Friends,

Daisy, the picture is absolutely adorable--Happy Belated Birthday!

I completed my task of sorting paper yesterday. I kept a very small pile, recycled the majority & shredded the important stuff.

I am adding an additional vitamin & iron supplement to my regimen. Started about 4 days ago and I feel better--about 80% of normal. The extra vitamin is really helping. I know its too early to know if the iron works. Because of this, I had to re-work my coffee-tea-vitamin schedule to eliminate overlap.

ACCOUNTABILITY: I had an extra meal on Sunday of greek yogurt and meatballs but no junk.

M1: Chai & decaf coffee with vanilla protein shake

M2: Turkey patty with greek yogurt

M3: Steak with greek yogurt

M4: Meatballs

Fluids: yes

Vitamins: yes

Exercise: Maybe a 2 mile walk.

Have a fantastic day everyone!

Late post for me, but I feel better when I post even if no one reads it. It was a complete food failure for me this weekend (except oddly when someone looked at the very innocent chicken salad I was eating and commented that my salad is why this country is so fat. Go figure.) Anyway, the end of last week and this weekend sucked. My air conditioner died and I had to replace it to the tune of $13,000. That caused me to stress eat, big time, since the thought of spending that money made me physically ill. I ate a ton of extra food, not all of it crap. The 2.2 lbs I'm up made me stop and I'm back on track today. And on the bright side, my house is no longer a sweat lodge.

My plan:

B: 2 oz ham, string cheese

L: 4.5 oz sirloin

D: Skirt steak, grilled romaine

S: HB egg, latte with 4 oz fairlife and a yogurt (today was a rest day, but I was just given theater tickets for Wednesday, so I may have to go for a quick run when I get home. If I do that, I'll have my yogurt before I leave work)

Holy crap that is a lot of money. Sorry! But I am happy it's fixed. Enjoy the cool air =) Ahhh!

Thanks. The $$ is still hard to swallow. But it's 90+ this week and my house gets all afternoon sun, so when I say it's a sweat lodge (or sauna . . . take your pick) I'm not joking. I have to accept that the $$ is gone, stop stress (eating) over it and carry on.

Wow, that's a huge expense but glad it's working now. You'll need it this week!

re: Arun and the sundae - we went to this thing catered by Cracker Barrel once. They have pretty much nothing on the menu that I can eat, other than maybe green beans. But DH went hog wild - four pieces of fried chicken, mounds of mac & cheese, biscuits, desserts. He could barely sleep that night he felt so sick. He's used to eating *my* food (only more of it) - so he couldn't handle it all! Funny how our bodies get used to eating a certain way...

accountability: my cousin got into town later than expected yesterday, and we yacked for a long time, so we didn't go out to dinner until c. 8:00 pm. I ate more than usual because I was famished (lesson learned...), but overall, it wasn't awful (Chinese food - no rice, nothing fried - portions bigger than usual, but not terrible). Thankfully. The rest of the day I stuck to my plan.

2 years out (maintenance):

B: 1 C cottage cheese, strawberries

S: coffee with half & half, SF chai tea latte protein shake

L: protein bar (I'm at the library all day with my cousin)

D: we're thinking of going out for pizza with my mom. So my usual two slices, toppings only - and perhaps a side salad

Hi menu gang,

Happy belated birthday Daisy!!

I got up at 9 am but fell back asleep till 12:30 pm so I had my breakfast at 1 pm since its higher protein count. My meals will be off and probably won't have a bedtime snack.

This weekend my calories were really high. I had a family reunion on Saturday, not very bariatric friendly. I did have a small piece of apple pie and 2 chocolate chip cookies. Sunday I stopped and got an large ice coffee on my way to see my dad. On the way home I stopped to get a coffee and got 2 chocolate chip cookies. Back on track today.

B spinach, red pepper, ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

Drinking coffee with a protein shake right now.

L tuna and cottage cheese

D steak

Have a good day
