Hi Menu friends, and happy Father's Day!

It's pouring rain, with thunder and lightning here in the North, so no bike rides or walking for me. The pool heater is broken so I don't know what I'll do; perhaps take a day off, lol.

I'm celebrating Father's Day/my birthday with a family dinner with parents, aunt, and uncles today. Yesterday my friend and I celebrated with a long walk and a visit to the local antique car show, then shopping. She had RNY surgery 9 years ago and is happy I finally joined her on this journey, and we had a blast trying on clothes in "regular" stores instead of plus sized stores. It was the first time we've done that together (even though she's been in regular sizes for over 8 years, it's new to me, lol). I tried on a lovely top in a size large (down from 4X-5X) but didn't buy it because it was buy one, get the second half off, and I couldn't find a second top I liked enough to justify the money when I"m still losing, but now I kind of regret not getting it.

QOTD: I kept a pair of 4X pants and a top for comparison sake as I lose, and I also kept a few T-shirts to wear with leggings for bike riding, or as pajama tops, but they are all getting way too big and fall off both shoulders and expose too much. I also kept a ****tail gown that I wanted to try selling as it cost a fortune, but I gave everything nice away (2 huge garbage bags full) to a family friend, who loved my pretty clothes and was very grateful. I threw the ratty things out.

I ate some pork rinds as a snack yesterday and the day before, happy they were low carb/calorie, with some protein, but I think the salt content is too high as I'm retaining so much water today. Unless the humidity is doing that. Either way, my face, hands, and ankles are super puffy today.

Breakfast: 2 decaf coffee with 80 ml premier protein in each.

Lunch: Shrimp

Supper: Steak

Snacks: strawberries with lite coolwhip/pepperette and string cheese

All fluids and vitamins.

I forgot the QOTD- I neverhild on to clothes but I've also never consistently stayed at one size. As soon as I've gained it lose weight I have a tendency to clear stuff out. I do wish I'd kept some of the smaller stuff but I'm already past my lowest weight in the last 20 years so it wouldn't have made that much of a difference. Through my years of yoyo dieting I always shopped clearance and sales as well as thrift stores (mainly Value Village for the Canadians) My fave place for great deals had always been Old Navy though. There's always a sale going on. I am thinking that when I get to my goal weight I won't get rid of clothes nearly as often. I'd like to start investing in more quality pieces.

Good afternoon, and happy Father's Day to all those out there. As usual, checking in super late on a weekend. Today has been pretty relaxing for the most part -church, a few errands and some food prep for the week. It's HOT here and will be 100-110 degrees all week.

QOTD: I have only kept a pair of jeans, and a pajama set from pre-op oh and my wedding dress. I have donated most of my stuff, I did sell a few at a consignment store and a few things on eBay.

Menu for today: B: Latte, egg beaters, turkey sausage links, and half an orange L: TJ Italian chicken sausage, 1/4 cup cottage cheese, carrots and homemade granola S: latte, Buddig beef, Greek yogurt with SF jam, blueberries and bran cereal, and 2 Brazil nuts D: egg salad in 1/2 low carb pita, edamame and SF pudding made with Fairlife

E: 6 miles this morning

W/V on track

Hope you all are having a great day!

Happy Father's Day to all the father's out there. I hope your having a great day.

Did not eat perfectly today, but wasn't horrible. Higher calories than I would like, but I do not do it very often. I couldn't resist the stupid cheese ball that was made for our family pot luck dinner. I had a nice visit with my dad, my brothers and their families.

Menu:

B - Smoked pork loin 3 oz

L - Smoked pork loin, veggies with Italian dressing

D - Smoked pork loin, small lettuce and tomato salad w/ ranch

S - 1 oz venison jerky, 2 Tbsp cream cheese cheese ball, 4 pretzel sticks
