Update: I thought I'd update you all quickly. I'm heading back into surgery in a few. Been at the ER all morning. Ugh. Talk about regrets.

Hello everyone. Here's an update. So the whole time I was in pain and have been going to and from from the hospital they missed an abcess that had formed. They told me on Sunday after the cat scan (had to drink that swee****er/juice thing 2 whole cups painful) that I have an abcess the size of a grapefruit on the left side of my body inside. They said I was leaking. So I had assumed that it was the new connection that wasn't holding up. This was Sunday. Yesterday I had my surgery to put a tube in my side to drain it. They had drained one bag full in the process (gross). I was completely awake for this procedure btw and laying in the most awkward position. They used the ct scanner to guide then through the surgery. So the doc comes in and freezes just one side and down through my ribs (ouch). I felt the cut, I felt the tube going in and I felt him position it. I have never cried so much in my whole life. Got back to my room and I was just hollering. They gave me a light sedation to sleep and pain meds. I finally was able to see my rny surgeon this morning and he drops a bomb on me. He says you remember I told you I had to take a couple extra cm from your bowel during surgery. I said yes. He says well the probe had gone through your bowel and that's what's causing the leak. So I'm like wait why am I only now hearing about this. He says he assumed it would resolve itself. Mind you he sent me home the next day after my rny. How would know if something would have happened with me being home so soon. He says well now the antibiotics will heal it and you should be good as new. So all th3 times I came in complaining about pain and not drinking anything I was dismissed because they didn't see anything wrong except for the one blood clot issue. Now I'm super upset because had he fixed it I would not have been suffering this long and possibly could have caught sepsis if I had waited any longer. When I told th3 nurse she was like he let you out the next day after rny? She was genuinely shocked. So here I am trying to recover and I'm definitely not leaving until I know for sure everything is ok.

Thank you all for bearing with me and all my complications.

You are welcome. I'm praying for a speedy recovery. Doc says I could be here a week or more. As long as I'm healing I'm ok with that.
