I'm glad for another weekend. We don't have big plans today, but tomorrow we are going to PA for a Father's Day picnic with my family. It will be nice to see everyone. My Mom was very good about checking in that there would be food that I could eat, so I will have BBQ chicken breast and watermelon for sure. I'm proud of my Mom for being so supportive of my surgery choices.

We've already been swimming this morning, and things went well. I got in some laps as well as water aerobics practice. If the rain holds off, I'll do a walk too but I really looks like rain.

QOTD: I live in Hyattsville, MD which is a close suburb of DC. It really isn't known for anything other than being an inside the Beltway suburb.

Accountabilty: We ended up having take out sashimi rather than going out for crab cakes last night, but we're headed for crab cakes for lunch today instead.

Breakfast: 3 ounces turkey breast

Lunch: crab cake, broccoli

Snack: Fuzzy Navel protein shake

Dinner: TJ's Mustard Herb salmon, broccoli

Exercise: swimming and maybe a walk

was up bright & early for a sunrise yoga class, now headed out to meet a friend for coffee. My cousin is coming tomorrow to spend a few days here doing research, so I'll be cleaning most of the afternoon. May go over to the gym a bit later, too....

QOTD: I live in Madison, Wisconsin. We're known statewide for lakes (there are four lakes in town) and elsewhere as being the capital of Wisconsin, the home of the flagship campus of the University of Wisconsin, and progressive politics (although not as progressive as we once were)

talked to a pre-op class yesterday at my clinic. Love, love, love doing that!!! I hope they keep asking me to do it!! I'm still on a "high" this morning (or maybe it was that yoga class!)

2 years out (maintenance):

B: homemade Greek yogurt, raspberries

S: coffee with half & half, SF chocolate chai tea latte protein shake

L: corned beef & coleslaw in a FlatOut FoldIt

D: pork chop with cherry/cranberry sauce, coleslaw made with sesame-miso vinaigrette

Happy weekend everyone. I have my 3 month anniversary coming up next week and I'll do a weigh in then. I'm hoping to reach a milestone so I've been "tightening the belt" (pun intended!) in anticipation of that. Lots of long walks on an empty pouch. I tried the McDonald's burger without a bun early on and it did not go well. I'm going to make my own version possibly this weekend. Either that or I may make an Italian sausage meat sauce. I am jealous of all you outdoor grillers. If I want meat I have to cook it in a cast iron skillet and there's always a lot of smoke involved.

QOTD: I live in Astoria, NYC which was the television home of Archie Bunker. It's also where Tony Bennett grew up.

Cast iron can be just as good as a grill. Sometimes even better depending on what kind of meat your cooking .

Good Morning Menu Friends,

Cleaning, recycling & laundry are my tasks today. Up at 6 am to start the laundry.

Got my lab work back and everything is on par--B's are still off the chart but that's normal for me. Vit D is high but I don't take any supplements and it's difficult to find multi-vitamins without D. Iron came back in normal range. Nothing so far explains the fatigue.

Down a pound this morning so I've lost 28 of the 30 regain. I am pleased.

M1: Decaf coffee with vanilla protein shake

M2: Tri-tip with Dannon light and fit greek yogurt

M3: Prime rib

M4: Baked chicken legs

Vitamins-yes

Fluids-yes

Exercise-does cleaning house count?

Have a great day everyone!!

Hi weekenders!!

today will be a busy one for me- we're having a BBQ. This was delayed from Memorial Day due to weather, and weather is iffy again today but we're forging forward. We've got a crap ton of food- tons of meats- so eating will be easy. I started the day with my 5 mile run, showered, made breakfast, cleaned up and am at piano with the older boy. Need to do a quick stop at the market for some stuff and then I can relax.

Qotd: I live in Philadelphia, PA and we're known for our cheesesteaks, booing Santa Clause and Rocky Balboa!

I live in Seattle..shocking right?

I would not live anywhere else in the world.

I'm planning on eating eggs, tuna with eggs, steak, yogurt, and drinking coffee with milk.

I ate a small hamburger patty from McDonald's early out. It was a memorable horrible experience. I buy their drinks only.
