Pregnancy after gastric bypass
If you're in the Northern Virginia area, I know a fantastic endocrinologist I could recommend. Strict but warm and knowledgeable. Michael Horwath, now with INOVA in Reston.
My baby days were over by the time I had my surgery. I decided to have it to be able to keep up with them! Just wanted to say congratulations!! How exciting! I hope you get quick resolution on the hypoglycemia and everything else goes smoothly!
PS - Check out babycheapskate dot com. Found the site when I was expecting my third. She posts the best deals for diapers and wipes each week, in store and online. She even has a PDF that shows you the "stock up" price by size (i.e., 0.19 ea for size 2 diapers = good stock up price). Good luck!
I think that there is a forum on here that is all about that. Check it out.

I got pregnant about a year after having VSG.
Make an appointment with your surgeon ASAP. S/he can help you figure out vitamins and whatnot. You should be OK with your standard bariatric vitamins, but you'll want to add additional folic acid supplements.
You may not need a high-risk OB, but if you can find one who has experience with WLS patients it will be very helpful. Mine had had several RNY patients and knew what to expect, which was very helpful.

My best friend had RNY 13 years ago and as a post-op she was a surrogate for two different couples, one single birth and one multiple birth. So yes, plenty of folks have babies post-WLS.
THere is a forum here where you can search through old posts even if it isn't active these days. I also agree with Julie that seeking out a high risk OBGYN could be a good idea. And working with a knowledgeable Nutritionist may help with the hypoglycaemia. Hope you have a wonderful, uneventful pregnancy.
