I'm sorry you are feeling overwhelmed. It really is manageable, it is just information overload right now.

Sit back and read through the papers, set it aside. Come back and read it again when your mind has settled. REPEAT. lol

I am assuming (yes, I know) that you are in North America? There is this AMAZING multivitamin that was created specifically for Bariatric patients. It is called CELEBRATE, you take 1 tablet 4 times a day. I know that sounds like a lot but it gives you everything you need so there is no timing for when you take multi vs calcium vs iron etc. Celebrate is chewable and actually doesn't taste that bad. I buy the Pineapple Orange but there is Mango too. Anyhow here is the link www.celebratevitamins.com

Don't stress yourself out, just relax, take it easy and we are all here to help. Hope this helps!

Jackie

Thank you for the information no CELEBRATE. I have an appointment with the Nurse tomorrow to go over some of the pre-surgery stuff, so I will be sure to ask her about it!

I felt overwhelmed by it at first, too, but it becomes automatic after awhile. I don't really even think about it anymore.

The brochures/booklet from my practice included sample schedules for taking vitamins, spacing them out so you can take the iron two hours away from the calcium, etc. It seems like a lot and still becomes familiar pretty quickly.

Sample packs are your friend!!! Do NOT buy a big pack/bottle of something w/o trying them first. I hated the Celebrate chewables and literally couldn't take them. So I have a bunch if anyone wants them! :) Anyone near NoVa?

Good luck!

At first I logged everything. Seemed very overwhelming but soon all becomes 'new normal' and when the pounds start falling off it's so worth it
