Menu planning is surely a big help. Eating a decent piece of protein for dinner too. A big part of it is eating often to make sure you don't go into the evening hungry. And then having the right foods to turn to.

Rice crackers and salsa was one of my late evening go to snacks. Pickle spears wrapped with ham and mustard was another.

Great idea on the plan, I think it important to not only list what you plan on eating but what you actually ate. In my case, very different things sometimes. especially when night time eating rears its head.

Last night was support group. The head of rehab came out and talked about how important exercise was. I had already heard this presentation but he gave away really nice thera bands and I got a pretty green thick one so it wasn't a total bust. Went to aldi before and got some veggies/cheese/and a few other things. Went to kroger after and got my CM yogurt/pork loin/gizzards (of course). Then I came home and ate very well for my last snack.

Weight at 128 still from my carb fest on saturday/sunday. Drinking tons again today and so far no sugar cravings.

Accountability: calories at 849 yesterday/prot 126, carbs 44. I was really happy with theses stats.

Plan for today:

mini prot cake/decaf/almond milk/yogurt

chicken/greens/veggies

pork loin for dinner with veggies

Exercise: yoga tonight

Good morning! I hear it is hot and humid back home, and it certainly is here on vacation but that's a good thing! We took 2 really long walks yesterday on the beach and did a little water walking so I feel exercised. Some people use the gym but I only weigh there. If I am on vacation, I want my exercise to take advantage of the surroundings! Interesting thing I noticed: I felt less hungry during the day than usual the last couple of days. I think it may be because I am away from the usual eating places so there is no head hunger?

Accountability: I was on plan yesterday since I only had a ? for dinner (as will be the case while on vacation). I did have a couple of glasses of wine, but they were spaced out, I accounted for them in tracking, and I didn't overeat as a result (that happens sometimes).

B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: ?

S: cheese sticks, protein bar

I've found that I have much less urge to snack when we're traveling too,Liz. Maybe it's because it's not as accessible?

Good morning all. Another scorcher here in Illinois so Lily and I were up and walking by 530 to get our 3.2 miles in before it got too hot. Now she's crashed out in front of the AC. We'll do another mile after supper when it cools down too. Yesterday I was able to fight off the late night snack demon with a cup of decaf coffee so my menu was exactly as planned. Post op 4 years 9.5 months and weight at 117.8 today. Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese 1/2 c carrots D 1/2 c taco meat with 1/2 c lettuce, cheese, source am and salsa S P3 Pak. Have a great day everyone and make some smart and conscious choices that move you one step closer to your goals! You're worth it!

Good morning :)

I have to go in to school for a bunch of meetings today. I haven't been in in over a month. I was supposed to be on a leave of absence this summer, but it fell through. Then I have to do a couple errands.

In other news, I think I have keto breath... My mouth tastes weird and sweet. I guess this is good because of the low carbs, but yuck lol. Also, I saw my doctor yesterday and it is a knee issue that caused my soccer injury last week. So no soccer for at least two weeks to try and strengthen my knee.

Accountability: yesterday we ordered delivery from a local BBQ place. My SO ordered a three meat platter and I just ate the meat. However, I had a rib with BBQ sauce on it. Way sweet. I wouldn't have noticed this before. Also, I've been adding an extra protein shake through the day for two reasons -- 1) I have a sweet tooth and love chocolate, 2) it is hot and the icy shake is nice and cold.

**Edited to add: I just weighed myself after posting. I have had some bathroom issues (sorry tmi), which seem a bit better today. I am down 7.8 pounds since starting CAMAW with you all!! I think between the awesomeness of the plan and the accountability to everyone I have been able to tough it out. I'm over two years post-op so I didn't think this kind of loss would be possible.

Breakfast - cheeseburger

Snack - protein shake

Lunch - smoked chicken

Snack - kielbasa and cheese

Dinner - probably pork

Snack - maybe another protein shake

All water and vits.

Yay on the loss and sticking to a plan. Once again shows we still have a tool if we choose to use it.
