what's on your menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
actually, this is only like the third time I've gone (in two years - yikes! But I almost always have a scheduling conflict). This is the first time in the few times I've been there that they've served food. Not sure if this is a new thing or the dietitian who leads the group just felt like making them this time (??). Anyway, it was a nice surprise!
Morning!!
Busy morning here. Had an appointment at the clinic today. With the behaviorist. ( My request) I feel/felt like I was slipping and needed a tune up. It went well. So Now I'm all done again.
Came into work and I'm on conference calls till 3:30. Thank god I don't have to speak at all of them. Hence me posting here now. LOL
Accountability: I stuck to plan for most of the day. Breakfast, snack, lunch, and then when I went home? off the rails a little. I went to the gym first, then when I got home we had lost power. So I could have BBQ'd but I was lazy. so instead of 2 SF popsicles? I had 3. and then I had a jello cup. Then I went to bed. So wasn't bad. But I should have done better.
Today's Menu:
Breakfast: Tea with Miralax, Premier Protein
Snack: Greek yogurt with coffee crisp protein powder mixed in. (delish!!)
Lunch: Tuna with balsamic, babel cheese
Snack: Budding pack of ham
Supper: The burgers I was supposed to have yesterday.
Snack: 2 SF popsicles, maybe Greek yogurt if needed.
Water: aim for 100 oz, about half way through so far.
Exercise: Boot camp class and a Pilates class. I need to start running again. I was up to a 5KM but I've totally let that go.

Good afternoon Daisy and friends! I love the new idea about accountability!
Accountability: I skipped dinner and went to visit my parents right after work. I substituted my planned shrimp and red pepper stirfry for 3/4 cup cottage cheese. Instead of having a carbmaster yogurt for dinner I had 3 oz of shrimp sans ****tail sauce. I'm not sure of the calorie difference but the end results are as follows: Total Calories- 658 Protein: 100 Carbs: 28 Sugar: 9 Fat: 22 Exercise FAIL, still recovering from Sunday's crazy stupid over doing it.
11 weeks post RNY/174.4lbs/Weight Loss stage
B- Carbmaster yogurt
MS- Syntrax Nectar (roadside lemon-aid) .5 portion
L- Tuna packet
AS- Syntrax Nectar .5 portion
D- Salmon boats (Canned salmon, plain Greek yogurt, minced onions, stuffed into little sweet peppers and eaten cold.
ES- 3 oz. shrimp
Total Calories: 435 Protein: 89 Carbs: 15 Sugar: 9 Fat: 7
Exercise: walking the dog for two hours tonight!
Exercise note: I did get one of those under-desk elliptical machines for my office and I'm using it now. It's smooth and quiet, not sure if it will help me much but at least I'm not totally sedentary while at my desk.
Oh, fun NSV: unlike 95% of patients, my blood pressure not only stayed very high post surgery, but even went up for a few weeks. With my BP medication it was around 140/90 for weeks! Suddenly last week it dropped from 136/87 on June 2nd, to 88/56 on the 5th, then it was 90/55 on the 7th, and 86/55 on Friday. I eased off my BP pill over the weekend and today it was 107/65! I'll keep an eye on it but clearly something internal finally figured out I had the RNY and WHOOT WHOOT! I'm at a totally healthy BP! Also, dropping to the magic 174.4 puts me in the "Overweight" range on my BMI :)

Good morning. I have no desire to be at work today, I'm fighting a case of the blues and I'm not sure why. And tonight is typically my late night. I take spin at 7:45 and the studio is 5 minutes from my office, so I usually wor****il 7:20. I'll see if I make it that long. Have an appt with the endocrinologist tomorrow to discuss my dumping/RH as well as my high parathyroid hormone levels. They think I may have a growth on one of the parathyroid glands, so we're going to discuss my "options." Maybe that's what's contributing to my mood.
DAT (Daisy's accountability thread): Weird food day yesterday. I ate my breakfast, but couldn't stomach the thought of lunch, so I ate 1/2 a quest bar. Skipped my run (see reference to "the blues" above). Had my planned dinner, but added in an ounce of peanuts, 4 triscuits and a NSA fudgcicle. It's 9:30 and I still haven't eaten anything, so I can tell it's going to be another wonky food day. Hope that I stop the late night snacking but I've been battling nighttime hunger (real, not head)
My plan:
B: 1.75 oz ham, string cheese, egg
S: Latte
L: Sirloin (4.3oz) and I have cauliflower if need be
S: Yogurt before the gym, almonds after the gym (I get that almonds aren't the best protein source, and are high in calories but I try to make sure I ingest some protein within 30 minutes after a workout, so they tide me over until I can have actual food and I make sure they fit my macros)
D: ?? either steak or shrimp
no totals because of the ?? at dinner, but I know by looking at it cals will be around 1000 and protein will be above 80 (if I actually eat today)

I stayed up to late last night so im not moving very fast today. Tonight i have to watch my friends two grandchildren for about an hour.
Only thing I added was finish my protein shake that I use for coffee creamer last night. Calories 1196 carbs 72 protein 133 to my menu yesterday.

Good Morning Menu Gang:
I'm late today because I had an early morning appointment with the clinic. Having pain on the left under my rib that is very similar to pain I had before revision surgery. I am also extremely tired. Went to get full labs--15 vials. Was told pain may be scar tissue. Tired may be Iron or Vit B deficiencies. We shall see.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Last night, too many pork rinds and I finished the Ghirardelli's dark chocolate cashews (1 oz). They are now out of the house.
I am working late tonight since it's time to reconcile by June 30.
M1: Chai with vanilla protein shake
M2: Chicken meatballs & greek yogurt
M3: Turkey patty
M4: Pork ribs w/greek yogurt
Vitamins-yes
Fluids-yes
Exercise-probably not.
