You will need to ask your surgical team. They may want you to get the level up prior to surgery. Wellesse makes a bioavailable liquid D3---sometimes you can find it at Wal-Mart or you can order it from Walgreens online. Your body would probably soak that up. Vitamin D is usually quick and easy to raise (barring any absorption issues). A few years ago, my D was so low it did not register on the blood work. I got it up in a week by doubling up on supplements. That cleared up many health issues I was having!! Find a bioavailable (easily absorbable) D3 supplement and double up on it. Good luck.

Do you have an appointment soon to discuss lab results? You could also just call the clinic and ask.
