NSV Shopping! Plus, my mom.

Bought a brand new pair of GAP jeans, at Clothes Mentor (resale shop), tags still attached. Size 10! Whoopeeeee!

Also bra shopping at Victoria's Secret, never in my wildest dreams I though anything could fit me there. I was measured and fitted. TMI to the size, but I'm boatloads happy that the girls are singing!

However, my mom told me my entire adult life to lose weight. Yesterday she told me I look too thin. But, she's my mom, what can I say? 13# from goal weight.

Stick to your plan and keep losing as much as you can. This period right after surgery is once-in-a-lifetime magic.

It is fine to look too thin. Our bodies adjust to the surgery and heal from the surgical forced starvation of malabsorption. It is fine to be 10, 20 or 30 pounds under goal during the first two years.

I had to get pads to fill out my bras. By the end of year three I was at my goal weight and nobody told me I was too skinny anymore.

Cheers to new jeans and bras. Strutting around in my first jeans was met with DD saying, "ya know, you still have a big butt, it's just a smaller big butt." Walking into a foreign place like VS had me finding out my breasts are still too big, too. Sounds like you have found peace in giving Mom a free pass sometimes. The way I have viewed my own mother's unnecessary comments is by remembering the good in her far outweighs the bad. My own mother-moments haven't always been so swift, either. The difference is my own DDs let me have it like I've never been able to. Can you? Try it, see what happens!

I can't even imagine fitting into size ten jeans... but (or should I say BUTT) Saturday I was shopping for work attire at a thrift store, and picked up a size ten Calvin Kline dress. It was a high waist sun dress so I thought it was probably I'd fit into it by the end of the summer, and it was half price which made it $3.50! Guess what? IT FITS!!!!!
