AMAW/CAMAW final thoughts
Daisy thank you so much for doing this! It is an inspirational week and I'm looking forward to the next one in September and may even go for AMAW instead of CAMAW.
I only had had to change by taking the veggies out but even that was eye opening for me today! I lost 2.2 lbs which is a bit higher than my normal 1.5. But what I realized today is that my compulsive behavior towards food is still under the surface. I'm realizing that just because everything I put in my mouth is on plan and measured it doesn't mean that I don't obsess when I can't have something I'm used to. For example, I gave up veggies this week and all I could think about was wanting veggies rather than the protein I was eating. I also realized I want something that I eat or drink to be unlimited. I think I get that from all the diets I've been on. Unlimited non starchy veggies or even unlimited fruit on weigh****chers or what I realized this week is I can't have unlimited amounts of coffee!! It's all an addiction and it's eye opening to realize that just because I can completely avoid things like sweets and chips and crackers, it doesn't mean that I'm not focusing on something else which I realize is a very slippery slope. So, now I begin work on that. I guess it's a constant work in progress but it's fantastic to have these opportunities with all of you wonderful people going through the exact same soul searching stuff.

Good afternoon meat eaters! I have to say AMAW could not come at a better time for me. I have been through a lot lately...including a 3 week stall due to distracted eating and not having a plan. Things have settled down and with AMAW, I was able to get back on track.
My usual eating is CAMAW, but I challenged myself with AMAW this week and I loved the results. No hunger so no brainer eating w/out feelings involved. How great is that? I dearly missed my coffee w/cream and eggs. I had already cut out nuts, most cheese and most veggies as there doesn't seem to be a healthy limit as to how much I can eat with out getting full. On the other hand, I max out very easily with dense meat.
Starting weight 214, ending weight on Sat 207 =7 pounds gone!!!

Daisy,
Thank you sooooo much for MCing the CAMAW/AMAW week. I know it is a huge responsibility and probably a major PIA at times! So, thank you again. YOU ROCK!!!!!
I have reinforced to myself just how important it is to pre plan, pre pack, and log all my meals for the week. With doing this it made easy and enjoyable. I did miss my veggies and yogurt but at the same time it's good to get back to basics. I also cut back on the amount of cream I was putting into my coffee. It did a take a little getting used to when having my evening snack which was a meat stick. When it came down to it, it really was my mindset.
I ended up losing a total of 8lbs!
Starting at 378 and ending at 370.
I am looking forward to the next challenge and I might do another one before Sept. on my own.
