AMAW/CAMAW final thoughts
Hi Daisy!
So I was one of the ones with that extremely stressful week. Sorry I was so whiny, but I needed to get it all off my chest, and even though I was running ragged, issues with a teen, and over scheduled.... I MADE IT!
The AMAW part wasn't as hard as everything else going on, and I surprised myself... That even when I was trying to talk myself into cheating (and only mostly with things that would have worked on CAMAW), I knew I needed to report here, and heck, I am competitive and couldn't give in!
I weighed in this morning at 140.2... So I didn't lose a ton... But considering I am over a year out, and have surpassed my original goal, I am very happy with my results.
Hoping this week is less stressful, and this time next week I'll be on a beach relaxing! Woot Woot!
I love having these competitions! Resetting, nook matter if you are 6 months out, or 16 years out is always a good thing. And a little friendly competition always helps!
Hope everyone enjoyed this round of AMAW, I know I'll be looking forward to the next one!
Daisy, a special THANK YOU for organizing this and keeping up with all of us!
Pamela

Maybe my competitive nature just reared it's head...
OK, not technically a competition... but if it worked for my brain to keep me on point, then I'm all about competitions (even if only in my little brain )

Good afternoon!
5.5 months out from RNY, I followed CAMAW.
I lost 3 pounds during the challenge. I'm just going to repost my "final thoughts" from my Friday post:
This challenge was well timed for me. As I noted yesterday, I have already let some bad habits creep in. I feel so much better at this weight, the pain and desperation I felt at 326 have already started to fade. I've started messing around with recipes for low carb desserts that are triggering for me and increase hunger, I don't always meet my protein goals and I don't drink enough fluids. This lack of appropriate self care and discipline is going to land me back to 326+ if I don't remain vigilant. I've been privileged enough to be able to have surgery and I don't want to puncture a hole in this lifeboat while I'm in the middle of the ocean. I am so grateful for the opportunity to check myself now and appreciate the support I have found here.
This was my first camaw, it was challenging but rewarding. I missed my bits of fruit and veggies. I'm only 8 months post op, and yes head hunger is real!!! I just ate protein I can't be hungry, I know the size of my pouch. This is silly but it's what I did. I was bored and "head hungry" so I still enjoy my little 5K runs, so I went for a run and brought a cheese string or baby bell lol. It was my reward. Lol
it was a good week, I will weigh myself tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to be in the 150's. PLZ
