Good morning Menu Family.... Today I actually slept in a little but woke up with a really bad headache/migraine actually took my medicine for it, hope it goes away quick. I am going to get my oldest niece for a little bit today and we are going to the playground should be fun and then it is home to get ready for the week. Not much luck yesterday shopping but I did find a dress at Old Navy that I have been waiting to hit the clearance rack and finally it was there!

QOTD: Bucket List... I have always had one but it was always thought it was a pipe dream but now who knows maybe there are things on the list I can actually do. Always, wanted to hop into a race car and take a few turns around the track so that would be a big one for me. I would love to back to Disney and actually do some rides...Maybe travel more.

My food for the day.

B: scrambled egg whites and sausage, coffee with FF half and half

L: Cheeseburger no bun and cucumbers

S: fruit of some kind.. (my niece eats fruit like its her job so we will have a picnic snack at the playground)

D: kielbasa and sauerkraut

Have a great Sunday all...

Trying to rise from the ashes over here. Just been a couple days of recovery. The hard part is the painkillers make me really nauseous, so it's been hard to eat. I made myself some protein pudding last night, which while far from my favorite is food and it slides down. And drinking plenty of fluids. Actually this morning I was down 5 pounds from the seven I was up from the IV. My girlfriend is coming over later to help me take my first shower woo hoo!

It was so beautiful yesterday I did sit outside a little, and took two short walks around the block with my girlfriends and my Walkingstick.

Food in no particular order: latte with fairlife and MiraLAX, protein pudding, chicken soup, after that it's up for grabs... Maybe eggbeater omelette, cottage cheese, I don't know??? And probably a protein drink or two mixed in there

Another beautiful day here so again hoping to be able to take a few walks around the block and rest

Morning folks!! Happy Sunday. Today my son has a piano recital. He'll be playing the March of the Nutcracker. He's been working on this piece for over a year and sounds like he's perfected it. They asked for him to start the recital, apparently that's an honor. :-) The saga of my new dining room set will finally be resolved today- they are delivering the table top with the leaf. Yesterday my mood was oddly somber. I think it was a post CAMAW let down. While the gate was open again to the world of carbs- I knew it was better not to pass through it. I reached over the edge a few times but felt guilty for it.

Qotd: don't have a long term bucket list. Year to year I have places I want to see in that year, but I tend to change it. Right now I really want to go to Jamaica and learn more about my family's heritage. All my desires/wants are fleeting :-)

My Run is done. 191.5 today, 25 months out

m1: eggs, turkey sausage, cheese

m2: chicken/ham/cheese lunch meat roll

M3: salmon, broccoli

Good morning guys!

I haven't completely fallen off the face of the earth but things have been happening at breakneck speed and finding time to get here has been a huge challenge. I have been reading on occasion but it's usually quite late in the day if I'm able to at all. I've been working 60+ hours a week, my BF has family visiting from England, my mom is dealing with a contractor that hasn't started work that was supposed to begin at the start of May, we have our golf tournament to plan for 2 months from now BUT the biggest news out of the last two weeks is that my currently childless sister and BIL will be taking custody of 3 kids... tomorrow... talk about life changing.

Through it all I'm managing to stick to the plan and I'm seeing numbers in the 202 range, I'm so close to getting under 200... that's pretty life changing too.

6+ months post op

Today is the worst day for posting a menu, I'll be doing my meal prep for the week later on and we'll be out running our usual errands today. Most weeks that involves a rotisserie chicken that gives me my weeks worth of lunches and then some and my BF handles dinners on the BBQ.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Good morning. Today is going to be a great day. I'm headed to church this morning and then a nap this afternoon.

QOTD- I don't really have a bucket list. I just want to live life, be healthy and strong. I feel like I'm in an odd place right now in my life. My daughter just got married in December and is in nursing school. My son just turned 18 and will be a senior next year. I'm feeling out of sorts and trying to figure out my new normal.

menu for today-

B- 3 chicken sausage and 1 poached egg

L- grilled steak - so delicious and satisfying

s- chomps beef stick or boiled egg

D- grilled chicken

now that AMAW is over, I'm still trying to keep my calories and carbs low and my protein high. Someone brought cheetos into the house yesterday. I was like, are you kidding me!

Have a great day. Be strong, be happy!
