What, no fried dough! I know up here those little balls are called zeppolis, something a pizza restaurant would have. I know the place by me makes them, but only on the weekends. They're hard to resist & would send me into carb sugar overload, but oh they're so good!

I love fried dough too! I grew up about 10 minutes from from the New Haven area. The home of the famous Pepe's pizza. Our fried dough is in the form of a round disc shape with tomato sauce and grated cheese. Some places offer it with the option of confectionary sugar instead of the sauce and cheese.

My daughter is doing her first pharmacy residency at Yale and her apt is literally around the corner from the original Pepe's! God only knows how much weight she'll gain!

Well Chris, we have already scientifically proven that chips & salsa and fried dough actually work for weight loss... So if you want to throw yourself upon the sword for science, I think we would all appreciate finding out how the Doritos and Pepsi diet goes... Please report back!

If you aren't willing to do the science...
