Hello fellow meat eaters,
I'm happy it's finally Friday, not because of the menu, but because I'm in need of a work break. Yesterday I found myself with terribly bad head hunger and grumpy. I thought it might have been from CAMAW but I now believe it was lack of sleep this week. I went to bed at 8, which is a good 3 hours early and I slept through to my normal 5:45 and I feel much better today and hunger has subsided. Who knew being tired would cause hunger pains.....? Certainly not me. So I've at least learned that about myself.

Late post for me today.
5.5 months out, CAMAW
My weight has been steady all week at 241, I'll see what it is this weekend. This challenge was well timed for me. As I noted yesterday, I have already let some bad habits creep in. I feel so much better at this weight, the pain and desperation I felt at 326 have already started to fade. I've started messing around with recipes for low carb desserts that are triggering for me and increase hunger, I don't always meet my protein goals and I don't drink enough fluids. This lack of appropriate self care and discipline is going to land me back to 326+ if I don't remain vigilant. I've been privileged enough to be able to have surgery and I don't want to puncture a hole in this lifeboat while I'm in the middle of the ocean. I am so grateful for the opportunity to check myself now and appreciate the support I have found here.
B-Starbuck's bacon/gruyere egg bites (2 bites)
L-Bratwurst with mustard
S-1/2 cup cottage cheese
D-Meatballs with shredded mozzarella cheese
Hi everyone I've been a lurker for some time now and finally decided to formerly join after seeing the results from this special program. I've been doing a modified CAMAW where i keep my daily vegetables at lunch and dinner (since I take blood thinner and changing veg can really mess up my levels). I was shocked this morning to see that I've lost 5.8 pounds since Sunday's weigh-in. This is actually a pretty cool way to eat. I haven't lost over 4 pounds in a week since soon after surgery. Mainly averaging about 3.6 pounds weekly since January. Looking forward to the next program period. Maybe by the next time (or after) I'll be off the blood thinner - reassessing risk in August.
Breakfast - 3.5 ounces Fage, Hard boiled eggwhites (2 eggs)
Lunch - small salad with only vinegar; 3.3 oz chicken with a sprinkle of curry powder
Snack - Premier protein
Dinner - small salad with vinegar; Pulled Pork 3 ounces; spicy bbq sauce (1tbs)
Snack - SF popsicles
Also my screen name was picked because I loved to skate, both as a child and adult, and looking to possibly doing that again. Plus the slang definition of doing it with style seemed to fit. So it's not any of the negative slang definitions - if you are wondering.
Thanks
Scott
