Thanks, selhard!

i do have a binder and it does lessen the pain when I am up and moving. However, when I'm laying down I don't like it on. It feels almost as good to take off as a bra at the end of the day

Thank you for the tips!

I remember severe pain the second night as well. I had surgery on a Tuesday and by Sunday it was mostly gone. Are you taking the pain meds? I found it best to take them as scheduled instead of waiting for the pain to set in. That way you get ahead of it. There are no prizes for suffering so although many didn't need the pain meds, I did.

Surgery a month ago (05/03) by robot. Only pain was muscular and the pain medicine worked very well. I also was given a binder that kept my stomach from bouncing around while I walked (helped at night too). After a week or so the pain was minimal so hang in there it gets better. Remember why you had the operation that helped me get through. Good luck! Hope you feel better!

My major pain that required pain meds backed off by day 5 for me. Then it was just discomfort at certain angles.

Every person's pain tolerance is different! You will certainly feel a little better each day, pretty soon you will have forgotten how miserable you are right now. Just remember to keep sippin and walkin!! (We Texans have to talk like that).

Congrats on joining us on the "other side". You will be so happy you did this :)

I had open surgery and I hurt like hell for many many days. I was a total mess. Don't do pain well. HOWEVER it goes away and the pounds come off and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
