3 weeks of OPTI-FAST!!!
I was on it for 3 weeks. Don't worry; it goes by quickly and before you know it you'll be having surgery and Opti will just be a memory.
I was 304 when I started Opti and lost 23 Lbs in 3 weeks. Some people lost more, some less, so I think it just varies person to person. Either way, I was happy. It was a fresh start for me.
I found it tasted best to me made with 500 ml of cold bottled water, and 5-6 icecubes, mixed in a big shaker bottle. I was one of those weird people *****ally grew to love it.
You're lucky it's warm now; I was on this in January in Northern ON, Canada, and was so cold all the time from drinking the cold shakes. I lived for the warmth from the broth. I wasn't allowed herbal tea for weeks 2-3, so I switched to hot lemon water, to help warm up. If I were on it now I'd try mixing it with lots of ice in my Nutribullet, but I couldn't even stand the thought in January, lol.
Good luck; you've got this!

Consider the more weight you lose before surgery the easier the surgery, recovery and the amount of weight you need to lose post surgery. It's all for your benefit
By chance do you happen to reside in Canada?
Seems like Optifast is the official pre-bariatric surgical beverage of Canada.
As hard as the pre op diet is once you're post surgery it's the easiest diet you'll ever dream of.
I hear that. I just found out today I will do 3 weeks of Optifast as well.
As freaked out about it as I am I also figure that this is a blip in time. It will be over quickly and we can get on with our lives.
You got this, you can do it. We can do this.
Best of luck with your 3 weeks and surgery.

* I am not loosing weight, I am getting rid of it... I have no intention of finding it again
Good luck to you too! I hope you get a little bit of time to prepare. ( If that's possible ) lol
I literally met the surgeon yesterday and was told to start that day as I have surgery booked for 3 weeks from that day!
I am on Day 2 and haven't had anything excep****er and shakes due to working and being busy so I can not wait to try some broth!!!
Hi HAB85
I think you were in the waiting room when I was there yesterday. Were you at Windsor? Are you having surgery in Toronto? How long was it from getting the approval for going to surgery until having the video conference with the surgeon. Did you also have the surgical class?
I saw the social worker and dietician yesterday and got my final approvals. Just undecided if to go to Toronto or Guelph.
Thanks in advance.
