DAY 2 - AMAW/CAMAW - post your menu here!
on 6/6/17 12:43 pm - GTA, Ontario, Canada
I never liked cauli pre surgery and I am not a big fan of it now. I guess I could try it but it would be last on my list of veggies to eat. Plus you know the mental aspect is even if I could eat potatoes I would not post sx, I mean its a slippery slope for me because then I would find a way to justify french fries, garlic mashed and baked potato with all the fixins. Know what I mean? But thank you for the suggestion!

HA! You are so much like me -- I don't eat those things since surgery either for the same reason! I know myself -- food is my drug of choice.
I actually like cauliflower -- but I rarely eat it for the same reason. If I make it taste like potatoes or rice -- I will start eating it like potatoes and rice. And, once I am eating fake potatoes and rice ... it's only a matter of time before I will start justifying REAL potatoes and rice.
I do try to sub out carb things for healthier versions for my family, however.
I am pretty close to AMAW all the time.

Yeah Potato Salad was a big problem for me pre-WLS, so I'd be afraid of anything remotely close.

Great menu Librarian! That is super meaty! Keep up the great work, awesome stats!
Enjoy your exercise!
Morning guys!
15 days to RNY! I'm starting to get the jitters! I had to miss lifting yesterday because I tripped on the step up into our kitchen and jarred my knee. It's still a little tender when I walk on it so the idea of squatting with added weight was just not going to happen! I'm running around with appointments today so my CAMAW menu will probably end up being convenience heavy
B: Coffee w/FF 1/2 and 1/2 + Protein Shake
S: Deli Turkey slices w/sharp cheddar
L: Protein Shake
S: Pepperoni
D: TBD - hoping to stop at the butcher and get something fabulous, but if not I'll just throw a chicken breast in the oven!
Have a great day guys!
