3 month checkup
I had my 3 month appointment with the clinic on Friday. The blood work showed all vitamin levels were great. The nurse did my vitals, all normal. the doc liked my progress a lot, said that the measurements and weight loss (71) are really good for the time frame.
The nutritionist looked at my daily food logs and we had a good chat about vitamins and so on (she had no concerns with my menu).
So far so good! I'm so glad to have done this. I've still got the aches and pains from carrying the weight for years but, I feel so much better even 3 months out.

Congratulations!! That's all great news. :)

Personally I've been walking my butt off (10k a day is my goal) but I think it's time to start pushing things a bit. Gotta start sweatin & breathin heavy
I haven't seen anybody with a 71lb loss in 3 months. Very impressive. I thought I was hot stuff with 44lbs in 2 but there's no way I'm catching you.
I expect the level-off any time now. There have been weeks where it doesn't budge, then over a weekend it'll drop 10 lbs or whatever. I asked about that, they said it's pretty normal. Even to have it go up 2 or 3 (sal****er retention, etc.) and then wham! 5 or 6 off again. Most important thing to me is the healthier life overall, whatever I land at. I'm loving getting out and doing things. I still loathe clothes shopping, but I've somewhat enjoyed not going to the "big and tall" stores for clothing that was jacked up in price, and never fit quite right. Little stuff like that has made a big difference.
It's quite a journey.

Yep. I was lucky to have a whole closet full of clothes waiting for me.
The weight loss is great but you're spot on about the overall life change being the biggest boon. I just went on a vacation on the Mexican coast and it was just one NSV after the other.
At one point my wife was looking for me on the beach and she said she had trouble recognizing me at a distance. Just another semi-middle-aged chubby guy blending in with all the others.
