The Pre-op liquid diet is on my menu today 3 protein drinks, creamy soup, sugar free popsicles, and sugar free jello lol. It's been a struggle, but so far I'm making it through.

Good morning!! I posted my AMAW menu on the other thread, but I wanted to post here too!! The weather is looking better and better which makes swimming even more lovely. I don't mind swimming when its cold or overcast or even raining. Sorry to hear about Aruns shoulder, no bueno. Hopefully surgery will give him some relief.

Things are half way back to normal meaning - I back on OH, back to working full time, my gym time is once again sacred and I'm on my way to feeling a bit more myself. So missing my mom... but my dad is doing pretty well considering. After looking at what seemed like a million options, we found a great small non profit residential memory care home and he will be moving in there on Wednesday. He is so excited, he absolutely loved it. Hell, I want to move in there! This place is amazing and it's all he talks about. So grateful that he can afford this level of care, I know most people can't.

QOTD - For me - debit card all the way, BF is all cash, all the time and I don't get it! I do occasionally get cash back so I can slip my son a $20 now and then.

6 mo post op - 214.0 today - self inflicted stall for 3 weeks and I'm hoping to drop 5 pounds to have lost 100 total by weeks end!

Posted menu on AMAW thread

Have a great day!

Posting here to respond to the important things like DQOTD! Hope Arun gets some relief. I thought I had a tear, but it turned out to be adhesive capsulitis (aka frozen shoulder) It was very painful and I lost almost all my range of motion. Last September I went to a new orthopedic surgeon who uses a 2 cortisone shot technique . . . one at the top of the joint, one at the bottom. Two rounds of those and I almost have full ROM. My other shoulder started to bother me and if it keeps up, I'm definitely making an appointment for injections.

DQOTD: Debit card girl all the way. I very rarely have more than $20 on me at any given time. I have to take $30 out every week for nikolai's day at the park, but other than that, I'm a plastic girl.

Oh man I hear frozen shoulder (or other body parts) are so painful! Glad you can get injections to keep it better.

The MRI results came back yesterday, its not good news, 2 tears and a bunch of other problems. Next stop Ortho Surgeon, I suspect its surgery down the road UGH!

Good afternoon!

I'm a cash guy myself, but the kids tend to drain that pretty quick and I turn to debit. I loathe credit cards and don't trust technology enough to go with apps and such to pay, LOL

my menu today:

Prevacid 1/2 hour before breakfast.

B: Calcium pill and a Protein shake, 35g

MS: 1/2 cup FF greek yogurt, 2 oz berries

L: Vitamin B50 Complex, Vitafusion, Vitamin D, then 1 cup (or thereabouts) of garden salad with vinaigrette, with 1.5 oz chicken on it. Usually I just go with another protein shake, so a salad is a rare treat.

AS: 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese with 2 oz berries

S: Vitamin D, another Vitafusion, 1.5 oz chicken breast and a bit of steamed broccoli

ES: A bit of 1% milk and before bed, the 2nd calcium pill.

Copious amounts of water all day, and a decaf coffee or two just to change things up a bit.

Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.

Good afternoon

I'm late posting today. I leave very early in the morning to drive to Atlanta, GA to see my granddaughter. She turns 6 on the 14th. This morning had me running last minute errands so I can pack up the car before I go to bed tonight. Hopefully it will stop raining so I can.

QOTD - I a credit card kinda gal. I will not use a debit card. I always turn the bank down when they try to give me one. I like knowing if fraudulent charges are made they will be corrected immediately. I also carry cash. My husband says if you are held up and someone says "your money or your life" you have an option. I also won't use my CC for small purchases. I try to shop locally and CC charges cost the businesses so I don't like to do that. Hubby doesn't care he uses his in the drive thru, and he orders off the dollar menu. Crazy.

Menu for today

Breakfast - Fuzzy navel protein shake

Lunch - 1 soft taco from Taco Bell

Snack - a few almonds

Dinner - still have a little turkey chili so will fini**** up.

snack - if hungry late evening I will have a piece of fruit.

I will be on the road for the next couple of weeks so I don't know how that will go. I am bringing my protein powder and a few healthy options with me. I will use that a lot to counter the times when I am in restaurants and have fewer choices. Even good choices in restaurants have hidden ingredients so I a trying to be extra careful. Luckily sweets don't tempt me, I'm sure there will be lots of cake around.
