Good morning weekenders!

Well, my day ended up a lot lazier than anticipated hahaha walked the dog, then finished binge watching the second season of Billions. instead f the housework that needs doing, I decided to clean out my closet and drawers to get an idea of what I have clothing wise for summer. Answer: 1 dress that's actually too big. Zero skirts, zero capris.3 sleeveless tops, one pair of jeans, and 1 pair of dress pants. . Zero t-shirts?..yikes. Time to get shopping...I did order two dresses from amazon prime that I'm skeptical about, but have free returns so I thought I'd give it a shot.

saw Wonder Woman yesterday too. No spoilers, but I will say, it's hella good! It's the movie I hoped it would be.

qotd: I know quite a few of us are starting amaw/camaw, so today i thought we could share some go to meat recipes for those looking for inspiration!

This rotisserie rub is really good. I have used it in the slow cooker, but also in the oven and butterflied on the BBQ. I'm a sucker for anything with smoked paprika:

http://www.food.com/amp/recipe/crock-pot-rotisserie-style-ch icken-448861

Im also planning on cooking some pork tenderloin for lunches, but not sure how yet. Maybe balsamic? Maybe rosemary? I love trying new rubs or seasonings, I'm also a salt and pepper only girl for a lot of meat.

Menu:

B: protein shake

L: I made an Italian sub salad for dinner last night, I think we'll have the same for lunch. It was really good. And will make a reappearance after amaw!

D: will depend on meal prep. Also still have some leftover turkey chili we need to eat or freeze...

Happy Sunday Menu Family... Yesterday was a good day.. My brother sold out of brisket in 30 minutes, pulled pork in an hour and then his side dishes 1 1/2 hours later the only thing he had left was a small serving of his peachy baked beans... Very proud of him! Then I walked around the local yard sales with my sister-in-law and nieces. I love spending time with them. I am so lucky my bother married a woman that I actually like. My only struggle with her is she is a stay at home mom and she thinks she does not contribute to the family because she does not work outside the home, I think it is because of the way she was raised the woman needs some confidence.

Anyhoo, today is around the house chores and prepping for the week I did get groceries yesterday and it is amazing to me the difference in cost (much lower) when I was not buying fruits, veggies, and breads. My husband is going to try eating what I eat with the exception of lunch he has eaten the same lunch every week day for 20 years and that is not going to change.

QOTD: I have nothing...My favorite recipe to cook with meat I do not think will go in this week because it has salsa in it but I take chicken breast cook it then add salsa, cheese and put it back in the oven and cook it until the salsa is heated and cheese is melted. We call it swamp chicken.

Food for the day:

B: Yogurt, granola & fruit and coffee

L: Pulled pork and spicy sweet potatoes (leftovers from yesterday got mine before he sold out) YUMMMMM

D: Toppings from pizza husband says he needs carb overload before going off the carb bridge..

Have a great day all and I say that I watch the news updates from around the world... Especially thinking of those in London today....A family friend was studying abroad in London last semester and she flew home yesterday she lived a three minute walk from the bridge and was in the restaurant where another event occurred 2 nights ago I am grateful for her safety today but so sad for all those suffering...

Your drawer searching sounds like me a year ago! I was going to Aruba (we have a timeshare and leave in 6 days this year), and everything was too big! I had to go shopping and also took in some of my clothes. All of those clothes ended up too big this year (including 2 pairs of capris I bought especially for Aruba and never wore). I had to re-buy for summer when we were in Florida in February/March, so luckily there is no crash buying needed right now. The moral: Even though you are near goal don't buy too much. I ended up 10 pounds below my goal (25 pounds below surgeons goal).

QOTD: I don't like to cook much (unless it is EASY) so I don't have anything (but look forward to other recipes as I am doing CAMAW for the first time).

B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese

L: tuna salad and chicken salad, pickles, cottage cheese

D: chicken with peppers, mushrooms, marinara and pesto made in IP (DH enjoys it, so he can eat it this week prior to trip).

S: Protein bar, almonds (banned after today for the next 5 CAMAW days)

Good tip about clothes buying! I often have to resist buying something just because it fits! Taking my brain a bit of time to catch up with that one!

oh yea - at some point, pretty much *everything* fits, so you have to decide what looks best on you. Such a completely foreign idea to me. When I was SMO, I bought whatever one or two items actually fit me, regardless of how they looked. No more!

Interesting point - I think that does contribute to my overbuying of clothing (which I am trying to curb).
