What's on your Saturday menu RNYers?
morning weekenders! What's everyone's plans for the day? My husband is golfing early this morning so I think I'll do some practical stuff around the house this morning like paint the metal railings outside etc. I still want to get new plants for the front yard, and a new door mat. I also need summer clothes stat!
Im also hoping to fit in a trip to the movies to see Wonder Woman. I'm really hoping it doesnt suck.
qotd: if you could have a super power, what would it be? Looking around the house this morning, I'd love to have that Disney princess power where I can sing a song and bunch of birds and rodents magically start cleaning up after me...

L/D: depends on when hubby is back from golfing. I saw an Italian Sub salad on Instagram and it's been in my head ever since. So that will be one meal, and I have a lot of leftover chicken, so something with that for the other!

Hello Menu Family...Busy day here as well I am getting ready to head down to my brothers and help out with his BBQ booth. Then I need to try and make it to the cemetery to replant my mom's flowers obviously a green thumb I do not have because the first ones I planted did not survive. Then if it is not to late in the day who knows what is going on if we are not to tired we talked about going out tonight and hearing some live local musicians play but you IF a movie sound cool maybe I could talk my husband into taking me to one of those first since bands around here don't start until 9:30.
QOTD: If I had a super power mine would have to be to move at the speed of light because I really have no patience for moving slow especially in a car or for sitting in traffic for long periods of time. But I would also like to read minds because I know what I think of people so I would love to know what they think of me...
Food for the day:
B: scrambled egg whites and bacon and it is Saturday so I get my cup of Full Caff coffee... Yeah!
L: BBQ from little brother....... I am sure I will be tasting A LOT!!!
D: Unsure yet seems like our pattern has been to go out for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights lately.

Morning! My run will be later than I prefer today- it's raining now but should clear up by 8. I've been up since 4:45 so the waiting is killing me. We were supposed to go to a bowling award banquet for my son today but they called yesterday and said it was cancelled due to lack of interest. So now he basically gets gyped out of a trophy. He was so looking forward to adding to his collection. The saga of getting my new dining room set continues-- I feel like they are rationing parts to me. Let's see what delivery turns up today.

Good morning! Grim and I are on or way to a graduation BBQ in CT today.
We will be seeing Wonder Woman tomorrow :) I am excited because I am a WW fan from the Linda Carter days! Grim and I were just having a discussion about all the press that the movie is getting for showing an "empowered woman" which is totally my pet peeve. Did you ever read an article about a Superman movie showing an empowered man? I think the term is so dis-empowering, and always gets me angry! #steppingofffeministsoapbox
QOTD: My superpower would be teleporting. No more commuting or expensive plane tickets!

Good morning, everyone!! Today my sporty daughter has basketball tryouts in the morning and then a lacrosse tournament in the evening. She keeps me busy!! We have been out of school a week and between sports and doctor/dentist appointments I have yet had time to relax. Maybe tomorrow!!
QOTD: My superpower would be healing. I hate seeing loved ones sick or in pain.
Today is day 5 for me on being back on track. I have lost 3 of the 4 pounds I need to lose and I want to lose 5 more after that (to give me wiggle room over the summer).
8.7 years out/141 pounds/trying to lose a few
My goals: under 1500 calories; 17000 steps minimum; 10 glasses of water minimum; all vitamins; 7 hours of sleep
I met all of my goals yesterday except sleep. I only got 6 hours. I will try to get all 7 tonight.

No particular weekend plans, just relaxing.
QOTD: I would like the ability to eat whatever I wanted and not gain any weight. I used to have an uncanny ability to find things that were lost. I would just think for a minute about where it might be and I'd "see" the object and it's surroundings in my mind. One time my boss was totally frustrated because he couldn't find a particular folder he's spent a lot of time on. He was complaining about it to me so I got up, walked into his office and stuck my hand into his bookshelf and pulled out the folder! He was totally flabbergasted and I rather surprised myself, too! However, over the years, the ability has seemed to diminish, unfortunately.

Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision. We've been trying to go twice around the loop lately instead of just once around.
