I love seeing everyone's pictures!! Mine is not my OOTD, but it is my favorite photo of the week. It was from graduation last Saturday with one of my favorite kiddos. She drove me crazy for 2 years, but we both survived

QOTD: I am allergic to bee stings, so bees scare the bejeezus out of me. I have been stung several times and get violently ill afterwards. Thankfully I cannot remember the last time I was stung.

I met most of my goals yesterday, but only got in 16,000 steps (wanted to get 17K). I am down 2 of the 4 pounds I need to lose and will probably try to lose 5 more.

8.7 years out from RNY, 142 pounds (goal is 140); need to lose a few

My goals today: Under 1500 calories; 17,000 steps; all vitamins; at least 10 glasses of water; 7 hours of sleep

Today will be spent getting a second dental opinion for my daughter. Fingers crossed this estimate is less than the last.

Happy Friday, everyone!!

Good Morning Daisy and all!

QOTD - Yes, I've been stung quite a few times. Yellow jackets and wasps are my worst experience. It seems like as a kid I would invariably mow over a yellow jacket nest at least once per summer and get five or six stings. Maybe that's why I hate mowing so much? (Parents were great about getting us to do chores).

EDITED TO ADD PHOTO - This is from a few weeks ago, but I just LOVE these tunics I've been finding! Not very summery, but still love love love them!

ES- .5 scoop Elevation chocolate powder in 1/4 cup NF plain Greek yogurt

Exercise - taking today mostly off - I'll walk the steps at work every hour or so, and try to get my 8000 steps in, but otherwise nothing.

Woke up to my sister making homemade crepes... She used to have a cart that they set up at events so she's REALLY GOOD at making them...

I went to see Julius Caesar in the park last night and packed hummus and sweet peppers to eat at the picnic. I did have a glass of wine in front of me, but only an once of wine and I made it last the full two hours. I am always disappointed at how little protein there is in hummus! I knew I'd be low so I ate half a PureProtein bar on the way to the park... I also managed to squeeze in a jog between work and the play, it's the first time I've jogged an entire mile in over five years. It was a VERY VERY SLOW mile jog - like literally slower than my normal walk, but even though it was slowwww... OMG I hurt!!!

The last few days I've been DRAGGING and HURTING even though my exercise routine is pretty easy and involves mostly walking! My body aches so badly I can't get to sleep for a long time, then mornings are extra rough.

This weekend should be active but not too intense. I'm planning on lots of grilled fish and protein coffees!

My hair isn't as short as yours, but still short. I keep thinking about growing it but then I think about the blow drying and general upkeep and get it cut again...

Happy Friday friends! We made it through another wonderful work week! I am grateful for my job and thankful the weekend is here. This week can go jump in a lake...I am looking forward to pjs and sleeping in.

Menu: B: Greek yogurt, granola, banana; L: Bean-free chili; D: Ham steak, peas, salad; S: Apple; ES: Bacon

Accountability: No smoking, struggling with wanting to but have not; Weight was stable 126 this morning.

EDIT to add QOTD: Yes! I was sitting with my Guy about 10 years ago, we weren't even dating then. We were at a coffee shop and a bee came and was buzzing my arm which is tattooed with flowers. I freaked and squealed and asked him to get it away. He calmly said, "Just hold still, it won't sting you." So I did! I sat still as a stone. Watched the bee on my arm for what felt like forever. Then the damn thing STUNG ME!!!! I looked at my Guy like he had betrayed me, my ancestors, and all that is holy in this universe. He burst out laughing and said, "Well, it could have worked."

Photo Friday:

This was two years ago, before my surgery at a event in Dallas. I was dressed to the nines and felt wonderful. Looking back at this now though I am so grateful to have my new healthier body. I remember that night my Guy wanted to stay up visiting with friends and enjoying the social area with cigars but I was wayyyyy too tired. We ended up in bed by midnight. Missed out on lots of adventures I am sure.

This is from my trip to Oklahoma 2 weeks ago. I would never have worn or felt comfortable in such a fitted outfit. The chaps I have on actually were gifted to me by an older woman. She told me about the man who made them for her in 1986 and about how he died later of AIDS related illness. They would never have been my size before and I never would have known that wonderful story. Whenever I wear them I feel honored.
