So glad to hear that a switch in meds is helping! There are different varieties for a reason, and even after something working great for a period of time, it can change. Good for you for taking the initiative and getting something different!

Do you really care so much? Why must you even comment on anything that I have to say? Go worry about yourself and your own friends and family. I'll worry about mine.

I don't really like you, so leave me to my own life. I'll drink if I want to, and I'll quit if I want to. Your approval or disapproval makes no difference to me.

> I'll drink if I want to, and I'll quit if I want to.

And I'll publicly comment on ANYONE'S post-op alcohol use if I want to, because it's important information for EVERYBODY post op.

You certainly do have a way of squashing any legitimate goodwill that anyone on the boards may have ever had to you. Good luck! :)

Yes, high protein is critical. My PS said he tells people high protein all the time and most of them don't really understand what that means (and some don't heal well as a result). I ate tons of protein after PS (and am high normally anyway), so I healed super fast (PS was impressed).

QOTD: When I was at my heaviest weight I would never- fly to Paris :), walk up any extra steps if I didn't have to, Wear dresses if it required putting stockings on, Run, or even consider it...I would have never enjoyed exercise and actually miss it when I can't do it...Who is this person???..... there were times I did do various exercise or gym memberships, but enjoy it??? nope.

I am ready for CAMAW, eating all over the place, still haven't gone to grocery store since I'm back so foraging the freezer and pantry. although I am having surgery on my rotator cuff on Thursday next week...so shall see how food goes after that. I am in a post-Paris Pre-Surgery funk a little.... Monday went for 2 pre-op appointments one at the hospital and one with the my PCP. They did not find a high concentration of croissants and macarons in my bloodwork...so I'm good. Although Doc finally realized my ferritin is trending in a bad direction (I usually see NP) so repeat full blood work in a month or so after surgery.... Go tomorrow to the surgeon's office for final pre-surgery appointment.

So I am trying to think food for after surgery- I will have a huge brace contraption on my arm and shoulder for 4-6 weeks, and it is my dominant arm... Doc said after a few days I can use the hand as I feel if I am not in pain, but it will still be plastered next to my body- so not the best situation for actual usage. Have been practicing making my coffee with my left hand only. so need to prep some meals and possible even do frozen single servings of things I can pull out. Which is so not me. I have plenty of frozen ingredients but rarely freeze already prepared food except maybe chili or soup.

Last night the local Vitamin Shoppe I use was having a grand re-opening because the remodeled...and the whole store was 20% off... they added a lot of food including a freezer section. So I made 2 impulse buys, one I will never do again and the other I am debating whether to return. First a pint of Halo ice cream. When I buy 'snack' food, I always think "How much will I hate myself if I eat the whole thing" Because that is always a possibility... well for 240 calories, when I was going to bed last night I was like -"oh I'll just have a taste" and boom ate the whole thing. SO not buying that again....

Second item they were giving out samples of quest chips. I ended up buying a case of 8 bags - thinking these will be easy while I am recovering- the price was great with the sale and discount $13 for the case. Now usually I don't have a problem with having salty things sitting around... but I always do better when I stay away from processed pre-packaged stuff.... have resigned myself to buying a some premier protein, just for convenience sake...just worrying I am going down a seriously bad bunny hole. Return or keep? I am open to all feedback...HELP!

I am going to the food store today!

B: Latte w/fairlife/mct oil/miralax
Pumpkin ricotta chai protein smoothie

L: omelette with ham and TJs lite mozzarella

D: Turkey Italian sausage with peppers and onions- never made last night

S: tuna, protein hot chocolate

Ex: Gym - cardio and strength training

NSV: finished taking out my summer clothes yesterday and putting them in my closet. As I pulled out a pair of summer chinos and a top, after being in maintenance for over a year, realized this is probably the first season clothes changeover in my life where I didn't have to worry if the clothes I pulled out of the drawer fit. woop!
