What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
QOTD: photos for sure - I avoided cameras like the plague. I also never, ever, EVER would have imagined myself at under 150 lbs again. I would have been ecstatic to get down to 200!!!
meeting a friend for lunch today. We're either going to a Mexican place or this new low carb place. Mexican is fine - if so, I'll get a couple of tacos and eat the innards. But I really want to try this low carb place!!

23 months out (2 year anniversary is Saturday!!) (maintenance):
B: homemade Greek yogurt, flaxseed, raspberries
S: coffee with half & half, vanilla chai tea protein shake
L: two tacos or something from the Low Carb Cafe!!
D: carnitas with lettuce, tomato, and plain Greek yogurt on a Flat Out wrap
probably another Greek yogurt or SF protein pudding pop
I want you to go to the low carb place too so you can report back! I'm wondering just how low carb they go.
That's a great restaurant to open, ya know? So many people are doing different versions of a low carb diet...

I have the link to their Web site in my message above - and on the Web site, if you scroll down a little, there's a link to a PDF of their menu. Looks like a lot of things like various dishes made with zoodles (like Pad Thai and Italian dishes) and some tacos wrapped in lettuce leaves. Works for me! I'm going with a non-dieting middle-aged male, though - not sure if he'll be interested or not. I hope he will! If not, maybe I'll hit the place this weekend...
and you're right - it's a great concept. You'd think with all the low-carbers out there, they'd have these places everywhere!
well, he wanted Mexican, so we went to one of those hole-in-the-wall taquerias with great, cheap food. It was very good - but I still need to try the low carb place. AND...it just got reviewed today! Now I want to go even *more*!!

I love that you make your own yogurt. I'm trying to convince one of my new coworkers who has a farm outside of Columbus OH, to take two of my dairy does! I told her I would be happy to come over week nights and milk for her. I would milk in exchange for a couple of quarts of fresh goat milk - it makes the BEST yogurt (Nigerian Dwarf or Nubian milk is sweet and not "goaty" flavored).

Hi all, missed yesterday, was out having fun!!
17 months out/weight not sure but under 125 I'm on vacation so I'm not weighing until sunday.
Last night confession, I ate a lot of big buddah popcorn. it was not a pretty sight. maintenance is hard, all you newbies at the start, do not squander this initial weight loss time you have 'trying' to taste new things. you will have time later to taste later in limited quantities but it is hard.
QOTD: before I would never want to swim in public, walk into the room and have a panic attack looking for the largest chair, want to sit in a little chair or a plastic chair for that matter, intentionally go for a walk for the pleasure of it, paddleboard yoga, ride a horse, do yoga in a studio in front of others. the list will go on.
B: protein waffle at the hotel/light and fit 80 cal/sf syrup
L: unknown
D: unknown
lots of walking
decaf/reguar
Oh my, I totally forgot about Chairs and always wondering if the chair would hold my weight. I would usually stand as I did not want to embarass myself with a broken chair as I have seen it happen to others. How far we have come!
When it was determined that I too needed a horse, I pitched a fit until we found Bruce... 16.2 hands tall (BIG) and THICK (he's a mammoth mule)... I wasn't going to torture any horse with my big butt riding on them.
Now I have one BFH (Big Fu&k$ing Horse), and I look kind small up on him On second thought, I made a good call! Ha!

I sold my Percheron team when I left my husband, and I kept a Haflinger/welsh cross pony we still can use to pull logs and a cart and generally help out around the farm. But he's too small for me to ride... but if I get down to 150 he should be fine for short rides! I'm so looking forward to working with him!
I ALWAYS WANTED A MAMMOTH MULE!
