What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?

Amy, I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Please take care of yourself and lean on all the support you have; in real life, here and wherever else you can find it.
I haven't been able to connect here as often myself but I do think of you often... especially as we reach our shared milestones. :) You've done so well and good for you for not letting yourself fall right back into old habits during such an emotional, stressful time.
Sending you strength....and a heart shaped rock.

So sorry you are going through this. The death of a parent really strains the family. My MIL passed away last week and one BIL wasn't speaking to a couple of us for a few days (though he has apologized now). So I understand how stressful it can be.

Sorry about your Mom, this is a tough time be kind to yourself...you may not be perfect. I am going to say though get your vitamins in! Letting that slip will only make you feel worse. Sounds like you have a good plan for the day...it's late, so hope it went well...

Thank you. It went really well yesterday. Lack of a plan is insanity! I feel so much better following a plan and far less stressed.

Good morning!!!
Daisy, I love love love the puppy pic! I love Goldens! OMG I miss having a dog! At least while I am in Columbus during the work week, I get to borrow my sister's dog for evening walks :) Porter is a 2yr old Barack Francais (Think German Short-hair Pointer but a little slighter, with thin skin, and a more laid back, "French" personality - he WANTS to go hunting, but he's cool hanging out at a cafe and discussing life too...) I chronically disappoint the guy because unlike his mommies, I don't run - and when I do occasionally jog, he just kinda extends his walking stride (yeah, humiliating).
TMI warning - but I weigh in on Wednesdays here at the office, with a health station that electronically records the scale, blood pressure cuff etc and uploads them directly to our Wellness log. This morning I weighed in at 179.2 lbs, no shoes, just a dress on. Not bad, it's a 1.4lb loss from last week... but here's the TMI, about 30 minutes after my weigh in I had to use the restroom. I was all "OMG that would have dropped me under 179!!!" You know it's sad when you want your intestinal schedule to mesh with your weigh-ins!
QOTD- I'm a shower girl. BUT I do love a wonderful bath from time to time. I will shower FIRST, put some nice hot oil treatment in my hair, then light a few candles and lounge in a hot bubbly tub while listening to spa music or a book on audio. Ahhhh...

Last night I took Porter for a walk along the paved bike paths by the rivers here in Columbus (Ohio). We walked a few miles, then stopped at a dog park where he was able to run with a few other dogs his size and speed, then we walked home up a long dark road that follows a little creek about 50 feet below the surrounding neighborhood. It was beautiful, and a good workout. I actually had to stop for a bit and stretch my hamstrings and rest when I was only a couple blocks from home. I didn't feel too bad about it because Porter took the break to flop down and pant. When I got home I realized I'd gotten in over 10,000 steps on the walk alone, which took me to 15,000 for the day!

Good Morning Everyone!
My son had his thumb splint removed yesterday and he is ecstatic! It's fiscal closing time at work and I must reconcile my grant and loan programs--needless to say, I will be busy until June 29.
QOTD: I prefer showers but will take a bath occasionally.
M1: Lots of chai with vanilla protein shake
M2: Lots of fluid--diet tea and crystal light
M3: Burger w/cheddar cheese and greek yogurt
M4: Lots of fluid--diet tea and crystal light
M5: Turkey burger w/cheddar cheese
I am reserving meal #5 to 9 pm. It definitely helps to have a meal around bedtime. I finish the last meal at least 1 hour before bedtime. Lean protein definitely keeps me satisfied until the next meal which lands around noon.
Have a great day!

Good morning! Great pictures, Daisy! I love puppies. Nikolai is really good with other dogs too. I love watching them play.
So yesterday I had a completely weird food day. It was one of those "I'm totally not hungry days" and I finally forced myself to have 2 thin slices of ham and a string cheese since I was going to take a spin class and didn't want to pass out. So question for you all, would you force yourself to eat, or just go with it when you feel like you literally can't? I really didn't want food, and I tried to drink as much as possible. I'm assuming a few days without food won't kill me as long as I'm drinking (I have the same feeling for today . . . the thought of food . . . just no.) I'm planning on another spin class tonight or a HIIT class, so I may have to force it.
DQOTD: Showers all the way. I have a bathtub and the only time it gets used is in the summer when nikolai jumps in it to nap (the porcelain must be cool)
My plan (if I actually eat today):
B: Curried chicken salad
L: The rib eye I didn't eat yesterday
D: steak
S: Skinny latte, I also have sliced turkey, sliced roast beef, string cheese and almonds with me. I figured if I brought a bunch of choices, maybe something would sound good.
I'll edit to include totals later if I actually eat. Just looking at this, I'm sure I'll be around 1000 with 100+g of protein.
