I dump off of protein bars. I have been using the Pure Protein brand and if I eat extremely slowly, I can get half a bar down without much of an issue. Protein bars are the only thing I consistently have issues with. But they're SO HELPFUL in the protein department that I still keep them on hand.

Since I'm 2 years post op (or 11 months post revision) I don't typically have a problem meeting my protein goals with actual food and only resort to protein bars as a last resort, like today when I was STARVING (it takes a lot for me to feel hunger, so when I do, I know it's way past the time for me to eat something)

Have you though about carrying around meat sticks instead of protein bars? I buy Ostrim meat sticks. They are about 88 cals and 14g protein. You can find them at Ostrim.com and Amazon.

Good day Daisy and fellow menu folks!

Today is "Monday" in the US, and omg is it a Monday for me! I'm not even sure that I haven't already posted here today but if I take more time to look... THATS how crazy my day has been.

QOTD- I love the total chemical death mix of new car odors! I know that it's all bad stuff but I love it. That said, I generally try to use natural scents for my car, I prefer Rosemary oil, but also like peppermint and other bright or clean scents. Floral and sweet seem to bother me a little, but there are exceptions, like lilac that I really love.

9 weeks post RNY/179.5 lbs/Weight Loss Phase

The good news is that over the weekend I broke through the 180s WHOOOOOT!!!

B - Premier Protein Strawberry Cream - I'd been holding a few back for emergency mornings and this was a flying low kinda morning!

MS- SF cocoa mixed with decaf coffee

L- 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese

AS- Tuna packet

D- Salmon

ES - Hummus and red bell pepper

Total Calories - 689 Protein - 94 Carbs - 25 Sugar - 11 Fat - 23

Exercise - Day 2 Couch to 5K plus 30 minutes additional dog walking.

(I assume it's not very adult to try to count hunting Pokemon as exercise, right? Asking for a friend!)

My time here is very sparse and will stay that way until early next week due to insane craziness at work and home. Nothing bad just crazy but I miss posting and reading. I try to get here for at least a few minutes before bed everyday.

QOTD: yes to car air freshener. I like the little hanging animals.... I used to have a dolphin that was my favorite but I've not been able to find it again.
