What's on your menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
Sorry about that...I copied and pasted and didn't notice it changed the amount to a question mark. I edited the post to fix it. Thanks for letting me know.

I've been seeing stalls and slow downs like crazy, I'm about a couple weeks behind you... You're doing the right things, and it will come off. I keep telling myself that over and over and over!!!

I keep telling myself that too...but it is so aggravating. It feels like I choose to do l the right things but fail to be rewarded.
I ate Dinner with family last night. They all had huge ribeye steaks butter and garlic soaked onions (grilled), and shells and cheese.
I ate 4.5 ounces of a piece of steak....grilled small garlic onion with NO butter.
I guess I feel like the scale should reward me for my good choices.
But I will keep plugging along, it's nice to know I'm not the only one.

The last seven days I averaged a gross calorie intake of 645 calories. On five of those days I exceeded 10,000 steps. I started the Couch to 5K. I worked helping a friend gut a flood damaged home, hot sweaty hard work... and what is my weight loss for the week? 1.4 lbs.
BUT it is working. AND it will stay off this time.
Looking back at my meticulous records (I'm an auditor, I can't help but document document document LOL!) I can see that in 2010 I was losing at literally twice the rate, on a 1200 - 1400 calorie a day diet. Thing is, I gained back 80% of that weight over the following seven years.
I can see my measurements moving, some up (muscle?) most down. I can see clothing fitting better. I feel stronger. My body fat % is decreasing faster than my weight, and my muscle to body weight ratio is slowly improving.
My last thought to share, is that despite all the warnings about going into "starvation mode" in true starvation situations, think famine or concentration camps, no one died of starvation still obese.
THIS WILL WORK.
(maybe I should tattoo that on my forehead?)

I started seeing someone when I was about 35 and I've used a therapist on and off since then. I feel like I gained tools to help me cope with things I didn't even know were bothering me. My life is so much better now, thanks mostly to a great therapist!
If you think it MIGHT help... GO!!!!

I know no one will probably see this but I'm posting anyway. I had court this morning and it ran long, so I got into the office late. Then when I got here, I found out they removed our water dispensers so I had to leave and buy a few bottles to get me through the day.
DQOTD - My dog Nikolai would rather go on car rides than walks, so I'm constantly fighting the dog smell. You guys have seen the frebreeze commercial where the car turns into a giant sheepdog on wheels?? that's what I'm afraid of, so air freshener is a must. I use the frebreeze clip ons and they seem to work ok. I currently have something like ocean breeze clipped in. Whatever it is, its better than dog.
Menu: My menu is totally off. Court ran later than expected so I didn't have anything to eat until late. Then I ate 1/2 a protein bar and it made me sick. I sometimes dump off of protein bars, and today was one of those days. Also, it feels like it's just sitting at the bottom of my esophagus, so I can't get rid of the sick feeling. I haven't even been able to drink the water I went out to buy. So, no food and water and it's 12:38 PT. Stacy is not happy.
Here's my plan for the rest of the day:
B: 1/2 a quest bar
L: supposed to be left over rib eye and asparagus
D: Salmon
S: Sugar free latte, almonds (since I'm signed up for spin and will lose the class if I cancel now. I likely will take the class penalty if I don't start to feel better or can't eat anything)
No totals since my day is so wonky.
Hope your day gets less wonky! You did make me giggle imagining you driving around in the sheep dog car though...that would be awesome.
