Morning folks! The weekend is still going, but Ao far so good. We bought the boys new mattresses, and while shopping we saw a great deal on the floor sample of a dining room set and bought that too. Our current dining room set is older than me- my parents gave it to me when they moved from their house. A new dining room set was on the long list of things I'd like to buy-- but the deal was too good to pass up. It comes Wednesday. Now I've got a lot of junk to move around/discard. And I realize I really need a buffet/side table. I saw one I loved yesterday but is was $400, too much. If I can't find one I like reasonable priced, hubby will build me one. I'm going to try a cycling class today!

Qotd: my current umbrella is a freebie I got from Victoria's Secret. It's compact with pink tripes and a lime green trim. I've been teased about by the firefighters I work with. I also inherited one when I got my current office. It's a sunflower design, cut like a flower with a wooden handle. I gets lots of compliment when I use it. Using a standard umbrella is an NSV- I always used to need to find golf sized ones to actually keep my entire body dry.

2 yrs out, 196 today

m1: BBQ chicken leg qtr, 1/4c potato salad (grilled yesterday and I didn't have room for it) and have been thinking about it all night!

m2: Greek yogurt, berries, granola

m3: deli ham/chicken/cheese roll-up & cashews

m4: turkey burgers (2) bunless with cheese and grilled peppers or corn.

I hope you can get that gallbladder out soon!

We finished planting hydrangeas in front of our house yesterday because today is going to be rainy (again). I really hope a longer stretch of good weather comes soon (more than 2 days at a time). It is a holiday day, but I will be doing the monthly bills and errands that have been put off (like getting a new timer for the outside lights which haven't turned on for a week).

QOTD: My usual umbrella is an all-black collapsible one I keep in the car, which is small but too large for a purse. I do have a purse sized one that I take if going on an outdoor excursion which is blue, white and yellow striped (much prettier than the black one).

B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: LEFTOVERS (there are a ton of them in my refrigerator - I need to take an inventory and throw out ones too old then eat from the oldest to the newest)

S: cheese sticks

Good morning menu family and it's Memorial Day... Busy day here today going to try and take advantage of this extra day as much as possible. Went to the races last night and had so much fun I saw so many people that I have not seen in years and it was nice. I also ran into so many people that I have not seen since I had my surgery I received lots of compliments and a couple of people pulled my husband aside to ask him if I was sick. Poor guy he gets that question a lot but he just answers no she is healthier than ever just working really hard to to diet and exercise.

QOTD: I have so many umbrellas! In my car, house and office I could set up a stand sell the on the side of the road and still have some left over. However, my favorite is this plain ole purple one I bought for $5 at some pharmacy. Seems like every time I reach into the back of my car to grab an umbrella that is the one I grab so that must be my go to.

Food for the day:

B: Holiday weekend means an extra day of coffee! 2 slices of bacon and 1/4c watermelon

L: Going out to lunch with my mother in law today so something with lots of protein and dreaming it is something with lots of alcohol since it is with my MIL!

D: sausages on the grill

Have a great day all!

Good morning :)

I can't wait for CAMAW/AMAW next week. I have been using things up and cleaning out our freezer for the past month or so to make room for a 1/4 cow. I haven't been replacing any of the more carby things.

QOTD: this question totally reminded me of a story. About 10 years ago I was out shopping and found a really pretty blue umbrella with rain drops on it (blue is my favourite colour). I never opened it up in the store because, hello, bad luck. Lol. Anywhoodles, the first time it rained I was excited to use my new blue umbrella. Get out of the car, pop open the umbrella, only to find that it is covered in cutesy little kittens. Now, I love animals, but I have never been a cat person. In fact I'm slightly terrified of cats (kittens are fine). Well, it was way too late to take the umbrella back to the store so I was stuck with it. One day when I was walking down a street I was actually mocked by a guy for my kitten umbrella -- "aren't you so cool..." Well, my grandma was getting rid of a plain black umbrella, so needless to say I inherited that. I still have the kitten one as an emergency back up in my car.

Good morning everyone!

I'm off work today for my 6 month follow up appointments and after that fun is over we'll be tackling all the shopping we avoided on the weekend. I'm hoping we can track down a few palms and vines so I can finish up my planters and a few veggies because he is insisting on the veggie garden experiment again.

Bathroom issues are worse than ever and becoming quite frustrating. Daily Restoralax, frequent Senokot, fibre powder, loads of fluids and all the foods (ribs etc) that used to help... and nothing. I've resorted to Dulcolax a couple times now and ugh...

QOTD I have a Callaway golf umbrella in the hall closest... that's about all I can tell you about it, I think it's black and white but I couldn't say for sure, and I can't actually remember using it. I've never had to walk for my work commute or anything so I don't really bother with umbrellas. I rely more on hoods and strategic parking.

6 months post op

B- coffee w/ 1/2 chocolate premier

L- pulled turkey, goat cheese, tomato and buffalo wing sauce

D & S- dependent on our daily travels and trip to Costco

Have a great day guys!

didn't get the cleaning I'd planned on accomplished yesterday - nor did I get the athletic shoes - so those are back on the docket for today. I did go to Aqua Zumba for the first time in two months, though (and boy, do I feel it today!), went grocery shopping, and made a beef tagine in my Instant Pot. Today: cleaning. athletic shoes. But only after we go out for coffee!! What a beautiful sunny day!!

QOTD: we have several solid-color travel umbrellas

23 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt, flaxseed, raspberries

S: coffee with half & half, protein shake

L: not sure. Maybe turkey meatballs or a turkey burger in a Flat Out Flip-It wrap (with tzatziki sauce and lettuce)

D: carnitas with lettuce, tomatoes, plain Greek yogurt

probably another Greek yogurt or shake or SF protein pudding if I can afford the calories...

exercise: yoga

Good morning!

I don't really have an umbrella for my commute (walk or cycle). I pack my lunch bag and office attire in a garbage bag, ziploc my keys, wallet and phone, put all of that in my backpack and just go. I keep a towel and a change of clothes at work if I really need it but I get there OK. Some days I'm just a bit wet from a light rain, some days I'm soaked through to the bone and I hang my riding clothes up with a fan. By day's end it's dry. Surprisingly, my office doesn't smell like a wet dog, but febreeze and room fresheners are also my friend on those days. I have an industrial rain suit and boots if I'm walking, but the problem with those is, though you stay out of the rain, they don't breathe AT ALL.

My menu:

B: Protein shake

MS: 1/2 cup cottage cheese with 8 blackberries

L: Protein shake

AS: 1/2 cup FF Greek yogurt, 9 raspberries

S: Likely 1 oz of cheese, a few triscuits and a bit of ham, maybe a boiled egg if I'm lucky to find one. Hot sauce, naturally.

ES: I can't seem to get into the evening thing. Maybe a decaf coffee and if I can, a piece of cheese.

I'm teaching a drum lesson tonight, then cycling to the gym for a weightlifting session. It'll be the first trip back after losing my workout buddy at the same gym a few weeks ago. It's been tough to want to walk through that door, but I'm going. Very much looking forward to it tonight.

NSV: The pants I bought to replace the pants I bought to replace the pants I wore before surgery 12 weeks ago, are now falling off. I'm down another shirt size and sit 47 lbs shy of goal.

Friday is my 3 month appt in the clinic, I've had my bloodwork done for it and I'm looking forward to seeing just how things are going with the vitamins etc.

Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.

Good morning everyone. This weekend has been glorious and very productive.

I am looking forward to AMAW next week. I need to stay focused and get this weight off and get to goal. My wedding anniversary is Aug 31 and my goal is to be at 155. That is 10lbs a month and totally achieveable.

QOTD- I live in Washington state, so we get a lot of rain. I tend to be a raincoat kind of girl. I do have a huge umbrella though that you could fit a small village under. It's from the days that my daughter used to play softball and I spent many hours in the soggy spring watching her play.

menu for today-

B- 3 chicken sausage links and poached egg

L-3 ounces tuna with mayo and dill pickle

snack- chomp meat stick

D- grilled lobster tail

i need to stay on track today and focused. Lots of water and no snacking!!!
