Good morning guys!

Having a short work week made the time fly by, I can't believe it's the weekend already but I'll take it! Hoping to get together with some former co workers today after tackling a bunch of yard work this morning. Tomorrow we're expecting more rain so I'll deal with all the laundry etc then. I have another long weekend ahead because I'm off Monday for my 6 month follow ups at the clinic, they have me scheduled for 4 (redundant) appointments in one day...clinic dr, nurse, dietitian and social worker.

QOTD I'm not sure how much of my first memory really is my memory and how much comes from the number of times I've heard the story lol, but here goes.... One night when my sister was a few months old and I was 3 I "rescued" her from her crib because she was crying. I tried to rock her but I couldn't make her stop so I took her downstairs where mom and dad were watching tv. They heard my little feet but didn't think too much of it until they saw us coming down the stairs, both facing the same direction and me holding her around her chest in a bear hug. Mom and Dad fought hard to stay calm so I wouldn't panic and drop her...which I didn't... that time at least lol.

6 months post op

B- coffee w/ 1/2 premier chocolate

L- leftover steak, cucumbers, tomato and goat cheese

D- hopefully I won't be home for this... I'm guessing it'll be chicken

S- remaining premier in coffees, maybe skyr?

Have a great weekend!!

Morning RNY'ers! I've been training a new staff person so no time to post on the weekly menu thread. So glad for the weekend thread- life slows to a dull roar for me on the weekends.

I've been on my run, showered and am about to make breakfast. After breakfast I need to pay bills. Then I'll take the boy to piano and head to BJ's. We're also supposed to go mattress shopping for the boys- may wait till Monday to do that though.

Qotd- not sure its my earliest, but my most vivid memory is the day my brother wa**** by a car. I remember watching my parents leave to go to the hospital and the look of worry in their face. He was seriously injured, but survived. Hospitalized for months. I also vividly remember the day he came home. He was in a wheelchair and I remember the entire neighborhood applauding when he arrived. Second most vivid memory is when I stuck a key in an electrical outlet. I could draw a pic of that key if I needed to today- and I totally remember passing out. As you can see I survived.

196.5 today, 2yrs out

m1: scrambled egg, turkey sausage and cheese

m2: yogurt, berries granola

m3: ? Tuna or shrimp

m4: steak maybe.

Good morning weekend menu peeps. Busy day today as I have to get back bedroom cleaned to be a bedroom again and the camper ready to leave tomorrow afternoon to pick up the youngest in Georgia. He thought about appealing his firing but didn't really want to get his co worker (who volunteered to testify for him) in trouble with the boss. He also has absolutely no desire to continue to work with her. He loved the garden, loved the work but never could stand her--and even less so now that he knows what she's really like. In all reality she fired him so she could pay someone new 12 dollars an hour instead of the 15 he was making. Everyone who was there when she came are now all gone and all 5 were bad workers according to her. What's the common thread Here? Lily and I have our 3.2 miles in already and will do another 11/2 after supper. Post op 4 years 9 months and weight at 117.2 today. Food is tasting yuck to me right now,but that's better than wanting to snack constantly. Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz grilled fish 1/2 c Tuscan veggie blend S 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese. I don't have any memories really until I started school. I think it's a protective thing because my parents fought all the time and divorced when I was 5. Have a great day everyone and make some smart and conscious choices that move you one step closer to your goals!

Sorry about your parents fighting and divorcing when you were only 5, Karen. It's probably a good think you don't have memories of those early days.
