3-4 week stall?? Feeling frustrated
on 5/27/17 8:00 am
Early out, refried beans mixed with homemade salsa was something I loved. I worried a lot less about carbs when I was only able to eat soft foods like that. Most creamed soups are carb heavy as well. Now, I likely won't eat any refried beans though.
Sounds like you are doing what you should be doing. It is very common to have a stall at about 3 weeks post-op. If you read back through past posts, it happens to alot of folks, so you're not alone. It is frustrating though, especially when you are doing all the right things. Just keep drinking your fluids and focus on protein, not carbs. For me, the walking was really key to losing, but that doesn't mean that the scales have always said what I thought they should.
Hang in there and focus on what you can do something about and the scales will catch up.

May 9th you had major surgery and that was just 2 1/2 weeks ago. Your body is trying to heal and adjust to the re-arrangements of your guts! Stay off the scale!!! Only weigh once a week... fight off that urge! And guess what? Those clothes fitting better are victories in themselves. I have dropped a size and not dropped a pound, then the scales catch up. So stick to your plan and keep doing great!

If you search for 3 week stall you'll find that this is completely normal and right on schedule.

You're losing just fine. Hide your scale if it's freaking you out.

I think we all obsess in the beginning.
Right after surgery, you gain weight from the procedure.
It's normal to have a stall at three weeks where you won't lose weight.
Exercising can add weight in the beginning due to building muscle mass. (So I've heard....)
Stick to your plan and you'll do fine. We never lose weight as quickly as we would like. But like Grim said, look at his numbers. You're doing great.
