This is a tough lesson for your son. We think when we become adults that doing a good job is most important, but unfortunately not always. Hopefully he will find something perfect for him closer to home.

Good Morning! Happy Friday-eve. Love the pic of you and Arun. First day back at work went well yesterday and I was tired last night. It will take awhile to get all caught up on emails and stuff but it was nice to be back at it and a my routine. I went to the gym this morning and ran 5 miles on the treadmill. After 8 weeks of not running (I was nursing a hamstring injury before my PS) I wasn't sure how it would go and I'll have to see if my body hates me later.

QOTD: I typically get them at Ross/Marshalls or somewhere like that but my most recent pair I got at the J. Crew outlet in Vegas with the help of Stacy and Nikki :)

Time since surgery: 2 years, 9 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters with roasted red pepper, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore tuna lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: SF latte, homemade Greek yogurt, granola, 2 Brazil nuts and Buddig turkey pack

D: Trader Joe's turkey burger, a small side salad, and SF jello with cool-whip

E: 5 miles at the gym this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1164 Protein:126 Carbs:78 Fat:39

Have a great one!

Yes it's a rainy one today, my cat has the right idea, sleeping on my bed all curled up and head upside down lol.

QOTD. I think i'm a sunglasses snob too. It's the only item I buy designer name, love my Pradas.

Good morning DD2 and crew!

B: Fairlife with coffee, Dannon greek yogurt

L: salami 2 oz, 2 slices cheese

D: spaghetti squash with marinara sauce, 2 chicken skewers, parmesan cheese

Late morning, everyone!! Had a breakfast meeting this morning with our team, which put me in the office way later than usual... but I had the best breakfast, and enough in there for lunch and breakfast tomorrow! I got the Migas egg plate, and it was fabulous!

QOTD: Sunglasses... Currently I have two pair of Maui Jim's... I love MJ sunglasses so much, and I keep one pair in the car, and the other pair in my purse in a case... I also have very sensitive eyes, and I probably have sunglasses on when other people wouldn't think of it. I find that I can see so much better out of the higher end glasses... I went for a few years with cheap sunglasses, and I hated them. I actually WON these two pair in a silent auction up at my kids school this year... I went up against the Superintendent of the District and won them (plus a ton of other swag) for $200! It was a great bargain, and the best part was that Hubs didn't like the 'boy' pair that came, so I have two awesome pairs now!

Weight: 142.2 - going for the stretch goal of 135 before I officially 'call it' and head into Maintenance

12 months out.

B: Several cups of decaf with half and half, then the Migas (sans the potatoes and corn tortillas)

L: Probably more of the Migas but I do have a tuna pack here at my desk if I change my mind (I brought back enough for 2 more meals! Huge plate!)

S: .5 ounces beef jerky

D: No clue... running errands, so it'll be out Protein forward though!

Have a great day everyone!

I have worn them for years before I got glasses.

I got a pair for my father one year. He just loved then.

I wear prescription Ray bans now. The problem is walking in somewhere and forgetting to change back to my regular glasses

Rushing a quickie before a meeting. Menu is same ole same ole. Accountability is going well, 127 this morning and no smoking.

QOTD: I have a pair I bought at a gas station for a few bucks on a sunny day a few years ago. They are stuffed into the center console and are all scratched up. Good enough. I rarely wear them.

See you all tomorrow!

Good morning Daisy and gang!

QOTD- I'm cheap skate so the only time I've had designer sun glasses is when I've found them used on eBay! What I generally wear are cheap sunglasses with bifocal readers built in. I buy them from Amazon for about $10/pair :)

Last night when I took Porter, my sister's French Pointer, for our evening walk I was able to "jog" a little more than I'd thought I could. "Jog" because the dog was able to continue to walk, albeit faster, most of the time... We found a rouge dog park down by the river and he was able to get in some serious zoom-zooms with some other young dogs in a big meadow full of birds - bird-dog heaven!

Today (after i post this menu) I'm walking from my office to a nearby fitness center to tour it and possibly join it. It's a ten minute walk so I am hoping I'll be able to do some of the lunch time classes there. I'm going to try to get the deal that will allow me to have joint membership at this downtown site, and a super nice center closer to my sister's which also has a full size lap pool. The hospital system where I just started working will pay back your membership fees if you use the facilities twice a week!

I'll be driving back up to my apt tonight, so I won't get me evening walk in, but I have taken a few breaks to walk a couple of flights of stairs, and I'll be walking to the gym and back at lunch plus a trip or two around a park that's near the gym... I'm guessing I'll get about 5K steps in today.

Vitamins are underway, I take most in the morning, then take calcium and vitamin D3 from lunch on because this is supposed to improve my iron absorption (iron in morning, noon starts calcium in 500mg doses. plus 5000 units of D3 three times, two hours apart)
