Hair Loss??
Ok, so does hair loss happen no matter how much weight you lose or will it occur if you lose like 100 lbs? Is it from lack of vitamins, shock to the system from anesthesia, sudden change in diet.. or all of it?
Anyone with lower BMI's that lost 75 to 80 lbs.. did you lose your hair?
My concern is... my hair is thin already, cannot imagine losing the little that I have.
all of your input is appreciated.

I'm 4 months out and my original goal was around 70lbs. I'm experiencing hair loss now. I have very thick/full hair though so it's not noticeable at this point.

Actually, every time I did liquid diets like Medifast, Optifast, and HMR, I experienced hair loss after the first few months. It always regrew once my caloric intake went up (my daily intake was around 600 calories while dieting). Everyone I know who has gone on these types of diets for more than a few months experienced temporary hair loss. It is very common.
Not everyone loses hair even though a lot do. I lost over 100 pounds but my hair did not change.

My BMI was 35 and I lost 100 pounds (in less than 7 months) and I did not lose my hair. It doesn't seem to happen to everyone but it does happen.

4 months to the day.
It came back. Small price to pay -- but it did suck for a while.
