spent all day yesterday at the research lab for the study I'm in - tonight is the sleep study part. Not only do they do the regular sleep study-type things, but they wake us up about 10 times a night to ask what we're dreaming about (it's a study about stress and well-being - I'm guessing they want to see if we're having dreams that would indicate stress or anxiety??). Anyway, I tentatively signed myself out of work tomorrow in case I'm a zombie...

QOTD: I don't do anything outside - my husband loves doing yard work, so that's his baby. Although I should probably have him show me how in case anything ever happens to him (of course, I could always hire a service if that happened, too....)

23 months out (maintenance):

B: homemade Greek yogurt, strawberries, flaxseed

S: canteloupe/vanilla protein shake, coffee with half & half

L: cottage cheese

D: chicken salad?

I have to be at the sleep center at 6:00, so I'll probably take a protein bar with me for later

Good morning Daisy and the menu folks. I had a great weekend as well. I ran in my first ever times 5 k, I have done color runs, etc with no time. It was a run to raise money for Honor Flight, Honor flight is where local veterans are flown to Washington and given the royal treatment, and then flown home. About the run, LOL....so the competitor in me made me run different than normal. At the start I took off fast and hung with the leaders for a mile or so, but I was dying. At the 2 mile mark I could no longer see the leaders and I was fading fast and breathing harder than I ever have running. I really had to slow my pace and though I broke a personal record , I feel I could have done better. I ran a 9:45 pace, I wish I knew what the first mile pace was as I have never run faster...LOL. Lesson learned.

I am back, I need to be back. While not struggling I need the accountability more than anything. I missed you guys and know that you are always in my thoughts, I just try and do this alone sometimes and am realizing that it is me that makes the decisions, but need the support of this place as well.

Breakfast - 2 eggs scrambles

Snack - Buddig Turkey

Lunch - 4 oz of tuna salad

snack - GNC lean shake

Dinner - cod loin

Snack -Unsure

765 calories , will need to add my evening snack.

Gym night tonight.

Stay healthy my friends.

Congrats on your run! I have the same problem--I can run forever on the treadmill because it is paced appropriately but when I run outside I can't seem to stop myself from running like the wind, then burning out, quickly (even when I am using an app). I need to figure this out before the 1/2 marathon!

I had quite a laugh after the race. I took off and felt like a million bucks and was flying. People cheering, running behind the state police cruiser, and everything went bad pretty quickly. LOL. Awsome you are doing a half marathon, keep up the good work!
