Yeah, the whole exact skill set wording on resumes kills me! When I was job hunting, I lowered my expectations for a while and started including reception type roles in my hunt. It wasn't until an agency suggested I add in the words receptionist, and answering phones etc in my cv, that I started getting called in for interviews. I was shocked, I'd thought it was obvious I could answer a phone given my other job experience, and skills...nope.

I should have put that kind of stuff in. I answer phones every day. Scheduling? I'm the one who manages our classroom reservations. I've also scheduled student employees. Insurance forms, no - but I've dealt with all kinds of paperwork and bureaucracy. I'll change up my resume if I see another one of those jobs - but the bariatric clinic was really where I wanted to be (they're part of a huge healthcare system). But who knows - maybe something else will open up over there at some point.

Morning! Gratuitous photo since I described but then failed to upload my pic yesterday! Morning glories and moon flowers growing, planning to train these up the planter and along the deck rails.

Skills- honing my country living skills. We bought 14! chicks last week. We are first time chicken owners, I have no idea what I am doing, but so far they are all alive still, lol. Wish ya'll lived close enough for some eggs because we will have lots in a few months!

Soccer got rained out today, so I am ordering groceries and spending the day cleaning. Not exciting but badly needed.

Meals today- breakfast- I didn't make those spinach florentine omelets yesterday. Making those today whenever I get hungry enough.

lunch- I think I will make a protein smoothie and have some hard boiled eggs around for a light lunch/snack since breakfast will be late.

dinner- steaks tonight! Woohoo!

Good Saturday morning weekenders!

We went to the pool late this morning and got kicked out early by the swimming lessons. Oh well, we'll go back again tomorrow when there aren't any lessons. So I'm off for a super long walk to make up for the lost swim time. It's not as hot so it should be perfect for the extra time.

We made a quick stop at Trader Joe's for our weekly meat and veg needs. I love TJ's. I can get good options for my week's meals for a reasonable price.

Tomorrow we are going clothes shopping. We both need some smaller pants so it's time to head to Kohls.

Other than that I have a few more plants to put in to fill in the flower beds, so that will be on the schedule this weekend.

QOTD: I keep trying to learn Spanish since there are so many Spanish speakers in our neighborhood. It would be great to be able to communicate better. Also I need to start swimming lessons again to improve my skills.

Breakfast: turkey

Snack: Fuzzy Navel protein shake

Lunch: TJ's chicken salad

Snack: cottage cheese

Dinner: TJ's Mustard Herb salmon

Exercise: 20 minutes of swimming, 4.8 mile walk

Wow, late post for me today!! Hope everyone had a great start to the weekend. Mine has been busy. Started with finishing up my yogurt this morning, making my granola bars, then me and my sister went berry picking-so much fun sister time. Then I spent some time helping her crochet since she is just starting out. After that it was a party for my hubby's friends three year old... then stopped at the mall to walk for a bit, it's a hot one today so we didn't want to walk outdoors.

Menu: B: latte, eggbeaters, turkey sausage and half an orange L: philly cheese chicken sausage, babybel cheese and berries S: latte, yogurt with and few more berries, jerky and granola D: TBD

W/V on track E: walking...walking :)

I'll try and be more timely tomorrow!

Hello all, late post today, I still have my nieces and we had a busy day. I just love keeping them.

My scale finally decided to move today. It hadn't moved since the 14th. I was definitely happy to see it go down some

QOTD: I would like to learn to see and to crochet. My mom was really good at crocheting, but I was never able to figure out how to do it. She tried to teach me a couple times when I was in my 20's, I really wish I had asked her to try teaching me again when I was older.

Have to take my nieces home in the morning :( really not looking forward to it. I have so much fun with them and then my house is so quiet and empty when I come back home alone.
