What's on your menu today (PHOTO FRIDAY) RNYers?
Good morning DD2 and my crew. I tried repeatedly to get on and post yesterday, but work... yuck. I am actually coming into the office tomorrow, since we have a TON of stuff to get done. Thank goodness I'm hourly! Hurray for OT!
DD2QOTD: I would probably do something with crafting (fiber arts, sewing, painting). I don't think I'd like to have a business that would need to make money, but maybe something where I would have all the time in the world to make stuff. We could donate to charity, or whatever. I'm not great at this stuff, by any means, but I think that is because I just don't get as much time as I would like to do it. Work, kids, puppy, hubby, it all keeps me from sitting at my crafting table!
21.5 months since surgery
B: 2 eggs, 2oz turkey ham, 1oz shredded cheddar and coffee with SF coffeemate
L: Leftover village salad with chicken. It's basically a greek salad without the lettuce. No dressing
D: I have no idea. Hubby is working really late tonight and won't be home until around 8 or 9, so I'll have to feed the kids. Maybe turkey burgers, but I don't know yet
S: 100 calorie Greek yogurt, cottage cheese with blueberries

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Morning! Yay, flower pics! This photo I just dodged out into the rain to get, lol. It's a wooden trellis that holds six small pots. I have morning glories and moon flowers started in them. And a couple of jars of handpicked flowers my kids out there. :)
Today will be fun. I'm taking my grown girl out for sushi and thrift storing. I so so badly need some smaller shirts. I even ordered some new 3/4 sleeve tshirts online and have to send them back. The material is super thin and they cling like second skin. You can, as my grandmother would say,"see everything but the color". So annoying.
QOTD- well, not many people know this, so I'll bare my soul to you, random near strangers. ;) I would love to open up a foster home to kids with medical needs. I was a pediatric nurse years ago. My husband is a nurse too. We love kids. We seem uniquely suited for it. Everyone would think we were nuts. We have five kids. One has special needs. It's crazy right? But it's something I've always wanted to do.
Food today-
B- spinach florentine omelets
L- sushi with my girl
S- whole grain cracker with Gouda and pepper jelly (mother's day goodies)
D- baked cod with tomatoes, asparagus and mushrooms

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
I posted these pictures before, but these are the flowers my daughter bought me for Mother's Day. I already had the planters.
This weekend I am going to a graduation party for my youngest niece who graduated from high school. It should be a fun time with family.
QOTD: I totally copy Daisy's perfect answer! That's exactly what I would want to do!
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
L: beef pot roast meal
D: taco meat, cheese, sour cream, 1/2 flour tortilla
S: light n fit Greek yogurt
Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Morning Daisy! I have no fun weekend plans, just waiting to get my sweetie-pie at the airport Sunday.
I have been doing a ton of gardening this year. I started several hundred flowers from seed, and it started taking over the house. If the cops had driven by, they would have been convinced I was growing something else . . .
Here are some pictures of my back yard. I have lots of geraniums, marigolds, and petunias still to get in the ground. I'm hoping to finish today.
Anyone need any rocks? I can't stick a kitchen spoon in the ground without taking a boulder out. Here is a picture of the rocks that came out just as I was planting about 20 geraniums. I built the wall along the back from past gardening efforts. I don't know where to put these!!

Look at your awesome yard! My husband, like you, starts hundreds of plants from seed every year. They are in our bathtub and bathroom counters. He often puts a heating pad under them until they sprout. He also buys lots of seedlings at local nurseries. He takes those, and the ones he has started, and puts them in 90-gallon bins (like storage boxes from Target)--and these are his mini greenhouses. He takes them out of the garage to the sun every morning, and brings them into the garage every evening. He has about 8 boxes. He has not yet put them outside this morning, but I will post a pic later today when he does!
No arrests yet. :-)
