Loving that shirt!! And you're looking great, too!
I love that idea... I've seen something where the dementia center was set up like a little city, with shopping and restaurants all in a little square. Of course, the place was basically on lock down, but it gave the residents places to go and become familiar with.
I lost my grandmother, and now my uncle is suffering, from Alzheimer's Disease. It's actually my fear I'll follow in their footsteps, so hurry up and get that unlimited budget so you can start one up! LOL

My father had frontal lobe dementia. Taking care of him is when I gained all my weight. I mean if 2 scoops of ice cream after I got him to bed made me feel better, then 4 scoops must be magic, right? I love the idea of a self contained city. That was the worst part, seeing my dad retreat into himself.
When he was sick, I took myself to a therapist because being diagnosed is my biggest fear. Every time I would forget something, it would become magnified in my mind and I would go down the "I have early onset dementia rabbit hole" My therapist helped me to see that everyone is forgetful and at one time or another forgets where they put their keys. She told me when I holding my keys and don't know what they are, its time to worry. It's still an ongoing fear of mine.
I'm not quite brave enough to have the testing done to see if you are predisposed or not. I told my hubby that he's just going to have to deal with a half blind/ half deaf/ half minded wife... but hey, I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be a happy one!

YOU look fabulous, the flowers are fabulous and that SHIRT is FABULOUS!
Way to go girl!!
I love your idea, since DH has early Alzheimer's. I'm not sure I'd have the patience to do this though (working on being more patient with DH).

I bet that's hard. My heart goes out to you (and I'll send you some of my patience too, although I don't have a ton of it to share! )
