HAPPY FRIDAY! I never thought I'd make it to the end of the week. I have a crazy busy weekend planned. My best friend's daughter is graduating tomorrow, so I have an hour drive to the ceremony. Then I have to come home, run an errand with my brother then go to the Rose Bowl for the Lumineers/U2 concert. The next day we're throwing a Graduation Brunch. Cooking brunch for 30 people. Since I'm doing the cooking, I know there will be plenty of food for me to eat. We're making a bacon/cheddar frittata, a mushroom, onion, spinach and swiss frittata and a hatch green chili jack cheese frittata, roasted potatoes, fruit salad, and mixed greens salad. I'll be getting my arm workout sunday morning whipping the eggs for the frittatas. I'm going to need a weekend to recover from my weekend.

DQOTD: I would fund a siberian husky rescue. There is a local one that I support, but if I had unlimited funds, she would be my main rescue. It's sad, people get huskys because they're beautiful, but they don't do their research and know that they're high maintenance bat-**** crazy dogs, so they get dumped at an alarming rate. I'd try to give the poor dumped dogs a good life!

My Plan:

B: 2 eggs, 1 oz jack cheese

L: Ham and cheese roll up (I only have one piece of cheese with me, so it will be a small lunch)

D: ????? It's friday, what can I say

S: Skinny latte, ???

I don't have any pictures of flowers, so I'm posting a picture from this past Sunday's half marathon. I wore a flowered headband. Does that count??

I wish people would take the time to understand each breed of dog before they run out and just buy one because they are pretty!!

There are some breeds just not meant to be lazy dogs lying next to your fireplace!

Huskies are definitely on that list! Much too smart and need not only physical exercise, but also brain exercise!

(cattle dogs, Australian shepherds, and Heelers also come to mind!)

My husky is crazy smart, but the laziest thing in the world. His idea of a good time? Waiting until he hears the air conditioner go on then getting on top of the floor vent. Or doing this: (and yes, he could benefit from a visit to my surgeon . . . who oddly refuses to do WLS on a husky husky.

And yes your green headband with flowers counts!

I am really looking forward to this weekend. My husband is doing a marathon in VT so it will be just my daughter and I. This will be her last weekend home before she heads to her internship at the Yale/New Haven Hospital. We will do something fun for sure this weekend.

QOTD: I think I'd like to start a musical theatre program that would be open to inner city and suburban high school students. Kind of a "meet in the middle" idea. Where kids can be a part of something, meet and interact with people they normally wouldn't and put on a great show together.

B: Decaf and protein hot chocolate

L: Tuna, tuna... just tuna... forgot lunch

D: grilled chicken tenders with romaine and light dressing

S: string cheese, cucumbers with greek cream cheese and everything but the bagel spice

Edited to tell you about the pics: These are all from our garden over the past couple of years and I included our deer friends.

It's not much and I don't have a green thumb. So here you go! LOL! It's a mint plant. I've been raising it from a pup! LOL!
