Okay show-off... that is NOT a road trip! That is some people's fantasies being played out by you and your family! What a fabulous opportunity you had!

I'm so jealous!

Good day!

My longest road trip is hard to say. At one point I was a long-haul truck driver, and I would be sent out west (I'm in SW Ontario). When I made my drop/pickup, the boss would say "Oh, stop by Phoenix AZ or Baltimore on the way home", and I'd wind up being out driving an extra 2 weeks or whatever. I lived on the road that way a while before quitting to deliver fuel locally (so I could be home with my wife more regularly). I didn't mind that job, but being away all the time was tough.

I've been out east a couple of times on vacation, and one day before I was married I packed some clothes and a bit of cash, drove to Winnipeg, got bored there quickly and headed south. I wound up in Iowa and visited my sister for a week.

My dream though is to do route 66 in an old Dodge Charger.

Today's menu: much the same as yesterday.

B: Protein Shake, 2 slices Kroger turkey

MS: 2 oz of mixed berries. Was supposed to have it with yogurt but I grabbed the wrong one in my haste this morning. I grabbed an Astro Fruit and something or other. 4 g protein, 26 carbs and enough sugar to choke a donkey so I tossed it in the trash.

L: Same as Breakfast

AS: 1/2 cup FF greek plain yogurt with 2 oz berries

Dinner: Beef Barley soup, 1/2 cup. Can't WAIT for that one.

ES: Nah.

Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.

Sorry you aren't feeling well Daisy! I hope the migraine goes away quickly.

QOTD: We've done quite a road trips. That's actually what my daughter asked for as a graduation present from college. Our longest one was from Rhode Island to Montana for a wedding when our kids were turning 8. We stopped an explored a lot of places on the way there and on the way back. It was so much fun. We gave the kids a roll of quarters on the way there and another roll on the way back. Anytime they asked a question like "are we there yet?" we took a quarter away! They both came back with nearly $20!

B: decaf and protein hot chocolate

Good morning peeps. I'm with you Daisy, Tylenol does squat and I miss Advil so bad ;(

The weather is getting nicer and yesterday I swam without a swim shirt for the first time because it was so warm. I FRIED my back. I didn't even think about it. I was in the water for an hour and fifteen minutes at 2 pm, w/out sunscreen, in California = dumb, dumb, dumb!

QOTD - I've driven cross country from Massachusetts to California twice (about 3,000 mi). We took the northern route then down through Colorado the first time. The second we drove down the east coast and across the south. We only drove about 8 hours a day and stopped to visit family and checked out all the sights along the way. Both were a lot of fun!

Late post! I did great yesterday on day 3 of cut the carbs commitment, so that's (c^3)^3, right? But, I did not track in MFP. I went to do it just now but it is hard to reconstruct and I think it better to just start fresh with tracking today.

End of school year here. Concerts, award ceremonies, plus campouts, parties, birthdays, tryouts for summer activities, etc! Too much right now. I am also behind on so many things because of all my down time since Achilles surgery...and my challenge even now to do much walking, standing, driving. I ish for another couple of weeks of school so the kids would not yet be home. :-)

cold again today! Frost on the ground!

Qotd. In college, I had an internship in upstate New York. So, drove from Utah to NY, through Minnesota and Indiana to visit family and have a thyroid growth tested for cancer at the Mayo Clinic! Then at the end of the internship, my sister (also college age) flew out to NY, and we drove home, going up to Niagra, then down through NY again, making several stops in upstate NY, PA, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois (Mormon church history sites), before back to college in Utah, where the non cancerous thyroid lump was removed.

B-egg with crumbled sausage, cheddar, avocado

l-fish fillet with cabbage, grape salsa, fish taco sauce

d-pizza toppings off family Pizza (school concerts, leaving home at 5:45, not home until 9:30!)

s-options: boiled egg, bacon

drinking herbal tea, and crio bru with unsweetened soy as creamer

happy day everyone!

xoxo

Good Afternoon All,

I've got a dull pain very similar to my hernia pain and I need to make an appointment with the surgeon. I want to be done with pain.

I've been dying for a steak so I got one--boy it was good.

M1-Lots of chai and vanilla protein shake

M2-Sirloin steak

M3-Burger with cheese and bacon--no bread or condiments

Vitamins-yes

Fluid-on track

Excercise-probably not.

Enjoy your afternoon and evenings.
