What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Migraines! Ugh! Unfortunately I can relate - my pcp kindly prescribed norco for them; thankfully, I don't get them near as often as I used to (3-4 times a year) but it's nice to know I have something that lets me get ahead of the pain!
Great QOTD! I love road-trips (good thing as things are pretty far to drive to anywhere); my longest was with my late husband and 2 young boys from Anchorage to Oklahoma, Texas, California and back up the coast to home. Six weeks, 11,000 miles. We camped, stayed at friends or slept in the Subaru :) Saw amazing sights and still a highlight of my life!
B: small black coffee, isopure non-carb shake made with water
L: 3.5 oz grilled salmon, maybe a couple cherry tomatoes (taking 5-yr-old grandgirl to a 'fancy' lunch downtown; she let me know "Forget the hamburger, go for the salmon!" since that's what she wants)
D: 3.1 oz Hormel taco meat
S: 1 C bone broth
* CALORIES 505 / CARBS 4 / FAT 19 / PROTEIN 80
I bet that was an awesome trip!

Hello All
Daisy - I hope your head gets to feeling better soon. Working through a migraine is no fun!
Today is a tired and grumpy day for me. Not sure why, just not feeling it. Last night I was true to my word and started Yoga. I found a 31 day series on a Youtube channel called Yoga with Adrienne that I enjoyed a lot. The girls thought it was boring, but I made them do it anyway. Then they got their revenge and made me do a video with them from Cosmic Kids Yoga. It was basically yoga moves set to the story of Frozen (ugh). It drove me crazy because we were constantly switching from being on the floor to standing and there was not any transition really. It was just stand up and then get into pose then sit down and get into pose. The girls really loved it though. So moving forward we have decided to do both, but do the kids one first AND I get to choose which video so I can keep an eye on how long they are. Don't want to end up doing 2 really long workouts back to back. We ended up yoga-ing(?) for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, which I am super proud of) and my apple watch tells me I burned 517 "active" calories. I have no idea how accurate that is but it is the only tracker I use so at least it will be consistent. Either way I don't eat extra to compensate so I'm gonna take it and run (well more likely walk).
QOTD: The longest trip I've been on was when I moved from Rockport, TX to Kalispell, MT. It took 4 days. Not sure it counts as a road trip though since we were moving. The longest vacation road trip I've done was from Dallas to Orlando and I've made it a few times now. We are big Disney fans and my FIL has a vacation house near there in Viera so it is a pretty cheap vacation if we don't go into the parks. Still super expensive if we do though.

L: pasta sauce w/ ground turkey cottage cheese and ricotta

I looked it up and it does look super nice! One of these days I will get to join a yoga studio or even a gym that has yoga classes, but for now it is videos in my living room. :D

I would love to do the trip your husband and his father did.
HI all
Made some yummy yummy indian food last night- chicken tikka masala drumsticks with radish (potato) with some inoki mushrooms and bok choy. DH had rice and naan. tonight is a pot roast that I'm sous vide-ing in the post since yesterday - apparently it takes 24 hours so we will see. I like the concept of the sous vide and the meat is better but I don't like the idea of cooking meat in a pot for a zillion hours. requires more planning.
QOTD: I think the longest was a trip to key west in a van with my friends family. It was about 13 hours or so. it was so fun but most of the family went scuba diving and I could not because of my weight. one of the many reasons I am so happy i can move my body and do things I never thought possible!
17 months out/weight 120.4- yippie! /mait diet
B: not sure yet/coffee/miralax
L: leftover chicken/dinner from last night
D: roast with veggies
I'm also going to run some errands after work today.
E: not sure- yoga for at least 15 minutes. I figured out I could do a handstand inversion on the wall last night. I could not do this 4 months ago but it involves standing with your back to the wall and basically walking your legs up the wall behind you. so your hands are on the ground and feet are on the wall. This is amazing to me astounding that bodies can do these things.
Good morning DD2 and all!
Yesterday my meal plan was on trac****il evening, when a pan of brownies and strawberry ice cream arrived. The only good news is that I did weigh and measure it - 1 TBSP of strawberry ice cream plus 1 oz of brownie. It was amazing :) and no dumping :) I did take the dog for another walk afterwards, as the temp finally dropped into the low 80s. I managed to get in over 9000 steps yesterday despite the heat but I was close to 800 calories and only 60g protein :(
QOTD- we took two week camping vacations every June while I was a kid. We drove to Seattle via Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia (starting out from Ohio, US) which felt like the longest because it was so freaking beautiful! We also used to drive up a few hours North of North Bay to a cousins cabin. Good times! My husband and I have driven to FL a few times, which takes around 20 hours if you do like DD2 and just take potty breaks :P

In fact we (my dad and I) just made that trip a couple weeks ago. We lived there for 17 years before we moved back to South Dakota in 2001. It is 1151 miles and it took us 17.5 hours on our last trip. We left Texas at 8 AM and got home at 1:30 AM.
