What's on your Menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
we all get it- the other day i had 'by the pound' treats I had bought at the airport on the way home Friday. then once I had one, figured what the heck i would just eat the rest so they would no longer be a temptation going forward and would be out of the house. and i don't dump so made it a bit worse.
I will always have days like this and I know this. the only thing i can do is try to plan for it and move forward when it does happen. and I might flat out say no to 'sugar' or 'sugar like snacks in evening since it is an issue

Good morning all. Daisy you are a hardcore Rock Star on exercise!! I love the way I feel after working out and yes, that good hurt! It's been so cool, windy and overcast here for days and days, enough already. It's supposed to warm up on Friday through next week. Yay!
I spent the afternoon and evening with my Dad yesterday and we went to Denny's for dinner. I only ordered eggs and bacon, but they put hash browns on my plate...perfectly brown and crispy...I had a few bites...more than few...I ended up with the worst stomach ache and threw it all up when I got home. That is the first really bad thing I've had. Never again, ugh! I can cross potatoes off the list for things I miss :(
Today is BF actual birthday. We celebrated Saturday - we went out to eat and saw the movie Snatched. Tonight he just wants to stay home which is fine by me. I've been gone so much I really miss just being home w/him
QOTD - I love my monthly salon Pedi's! I don't feel human without them. I always choose a dark red or dark purple, no matter the season.
5+ months post op
b-coffee w/heavy cream and splenda
b2-pepperoni
l-chicken
d-steak
v/l - on track
e-nothing today
Have a great day all.

Morning Daisy!!!
OK, so it's afternoon for most of you. Busy morning... ONE YEAR SURGIVERSARY!!! Had my doc appointment, and posted my obligatory post over on the General board. Seeing those before/after photos really sunk in for me... OK, well not quite... I can't stop looking at them. The funniest part (sad too maybe?) is I thought I looked GOOD in those before shots! I mean I knew I was overweight, but I was careful to apply makeup and really thought it would be better... it's not.
Weight this morning 143.6 at home, 143.8 on the doc's scale... not quite eating a maintenance diet until I get a few more pounds off... would like to be 135 or so.
B: smoked oysters (hey, I ran out of the house with no food this morning... they were in my desk drawer)
L: Not sure... probably a burger from downstairs with a side salad instead of fries (no bun of course)
D: Crack Chicken! Yay for crack chicken!!!
S: Latte with Fairlife milk

Hello Everyone,
Wow! That's a lot of work at the gym Daisy. You're making me feel like a slug.. haha
QOTD: I usually do my own toes. I've only had a pedicure once and I enjoyed it but I'm cheap! I like a frosted dark-ish burgundy color or dark pink. I just really seem to like the frosted colors more that plain. I don't know the difference between regular and gel... oops!

Happy Tuesday! My training plan called for a walk to jog yesterday to aid in my recovery, but I got stuck at work late, and it was on the cool side and windy when I left, so I ditched the exercise. Back on track tonight with a spin class.
DQOTD - I get pedicures in a salon. I take my mom with me and we have a girls' day. I like having them done because I try to keep my nails short (because of the running) and I don't want any ingrown toenails. I've had an ingrown once and had to go to the ER to have it cut out. That was NOT fun!! The worst part was I had to go to court the next day so I had to try and stick my swollen and bandaged big toe into a shoe. I didn't care how inappropriate people thought it was, I wore flats to court. I don't really have a go to color. I do darks (blues, grays, purples) in Winter and lighter in summer. I've been known to have baby blue, light green or yellow toes. Nothing is off limits. I never do gel on my toes, but do on my fingers.
My plan.
B: 3 oz chicken breast
S: skinny latte
L: Roasted cauliflower with meat sauce and mozz. cheese
D: Tri Tip
S: either ham and a cheese stick or light and fit before the gym. Almonds on my way home (1.09 oz)
Good Afternoon Everyone,
Today, my son had an 8 am appointment with the orthopedic team to remove his cast on his right arm. He dislocated his thumb a few weeks back and was excited to get his cast removed. Well, the doctor decided he should wear a thumb splint for an additional 2 weeks. Needless to say, he is bummed considering his birthday is tomorrow.
QOTD: I've been going to the salon for the last 25 years to get my nails and toes done. I've got shaky hands so I let someone else do it. I do gel for toes because the polish lasts for 2-3 weeks without chipping. I don't have a favorite color but I do wear 2 different colors on my toes--it's been my trademark for 25 years. My nail color tends to be more conservative.
M1: Tea, applegate turkey patties with a slice of cheddar & dannon light and fit strawberry greek yogurt
M2: Chai tea with vanilla protein shake
M3: Turkey burger with dannon light and fit strawberry greek yogurt
M4: Not sure
Vitamins-Yes
Fluids-yes
Exercise--maybe a walk later today.
Have a great day everyone!

I feel a LOT better today. I got a few hours of sleep. It was a blessing! My shoulder still hurts like a b*tch, but there's not much I can do about it until after the remainder of my breast reconstruction is done so...meh.
For me being tired yesterday I still got about 9,800 steps yesterday. I'm pretty stoked about that.
Eats:
- Piece of wheat bread w/ peanut butter
- Protein shake
- HUGE spinach salad with strawberries, blueberries, green onions, tomato and low-sodium deli roast beef w/ lite Caesar dressing
- I'll probably have a burger patty with cheese and caramelized onions for dinner and maybe another salad. If I scoot out of the office early enough I may go get a bunch of asparagus to have with it. (LOOOOOVE asparagus!)
RNY Gastric Bypass 1-8-08 350/327/200 (HW/SW/CW). I spend most of my time playing with my food over at Bariatric Foodie - check me out!
