QOTD: I used to go to a salon to get a pedicure once a month, but I've really slowed up on that for two reasons: 1) to save $ after my husband lost his job a year ago and 2) I can reach my toes now!! I still go for a professional one every three months or so, since they do stuff I can't or don't want to bother with. I go for the standard old lady colors, as my pedicurist calls them - I don't do hot red, but I go for related shades, like purples, pinks, mauves, rose, etc.

23 months out (maintenance)

B: Greek yogurt mixed with flaxseed and cacao nibs, fresh raspberries

S: coffee with half & half, protein shake

L: cottage cheese

D: either turkey meatballs or a turkey patty in one of those sandwich-size Flat Out wraps with tzatziki sauce, cucumbers, and sliced tomato

probably another Greek yogurt later this evening

Good Morning... In my race to ALL that needs to be done in my life before Saturday aka leave for Paris... I am going to my girlfriend's today to work on applying for work-at-home online jobs and rewrite several versions of my resume....having been looking for a job without success and with recovery from surgery in the pic need to think out of the box. She is the queen of working from home and I need to know her secrets...and good jobs, not schlep jobs...she is actually turning down jobs she has so much work...

QOTD: Mani and Pedis at the salon sometimes... Pedis last a lot longer which is nice especially in the summer. NY is pretty cheap for these things. Express Mani and Pedi $20 and Spa Mani and pedi(takes about 1/1/2 to 2 hours) $30 whi*****ludes 10 min foot massage and 5 min back massage while your nails are drying. Have occasionally gotten gels for special occasions. They do have this non-gel powder stuff now that is much better for your nails and doesn't damage them... I see Construction worker type guys getting mani and pedis at he nail place regularly...

B: Latte w/fairlife/coconut MCT oil
Protein drink w/cashew milk

L: hard boiled eggs and ?? (at girlfriend's bringing eggs with me)

D: at Board meeting- grilled veggies, filling of a sandwich, salad?

Snacks: Protein hot chocolate, Siggi's skyr with blueberries

very up in the air food day. Scale is being kind though - 162.4 this AM. so yay! low going into Paris

Ex: No time for Gym, so Pilates at home

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

I'm so glad JB is having such a great time! Tell her we miss her, Daisy.

Yesterday we took our dogs to the groomers and they shaved Blossom! She looks like a completely different dog! I didn't realize her undercoat would be white. She looks even fatter without all her hair and she looks so FUNNY! But she will be SO much cooler this summer. Here are before and after pictures of her.

I found a piece of a lawn edging tile on my walk the other day lying in the ditch so I took it home and painted our last name on it. It was hard to paint on because it was so rough and bumpy, but I think I did an okay job.

Yesterday I walked around the subdivision loop twice. (I usually just go around once). I was proud of myself for going twice.

QOTD: I do my own pedicures. I have a ped egg to polish rough skin from my feet and I trim my own nails. I have teeny tiny nails on all but my big toes, so they are really hard to paint nail polish on. When I do paint them I use a bright pinkish mauve color.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella

L: pot roast meal

D: taco meat, cheese, sour cream, 1/2 flour tortilla

S: light n fit Greek yogurt

Have a great day everyone!

~ Karen
