What's on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Good morning DD2. I have been running ragged for some time and my posting has been spotty. Work is nuts, and my hubby is officially back to work today after his achilles tear back in March. He will be doing at least 6 months of PT, as well, but he can walk to get around. He's just got to be careful not to overdo it. His surgeon says not carrying heavy things, but he should be good with that. It will be nice for him to get back to working and getting a full paycheck. He had been getting disability and that really hurt our finances.
My weekend was really good. Saturday my little one had soccer, though he wasn't as in to it as the first time. He aslo started baseball last week, so he might just be tired from all of the activities. Baseball is only an hour one day a week and the same for soccer, so I don't want you guys to think that I have a 3 year old in activities all week, lol. I'm not going to push him to do that, ever.
Sunday was very nice, we went to visit my mom in the morning, and we took our puppy with us for the first time. He's 5 months old and my mom has 2 dogs, who are 10 years old. We were worried about how they would get along, and for the first 10 minutes we supervised them because there was some growling and nipping, but I sat down and let all three dogs come to me, and they got to sniff each other and next thing you know, the 10 year old dogs are frolicking like puppies with my Bugsy. They had so much fun chasing and playing, and I'm so excited because Bugsy really needs friendly playtime. I'm looking forward to being able to take him to visit them and hang with my mom from time to time. I really just can't wait until we get the yard fenced, so he can run freely. We visited my MIL in the afternoon, and then my boys took me out to a fancy dinner. I had beef medallions in a mushroom cream sauce. I also had half a piece of chocolate and strawberry cake that was to die for. I'm eating my hubby's leftovers from dinner last night for lunch today.
I'm so jealous of JB and her trip to Paris. I am still planning a trip to Europe for next summer, but it's over a year away.
I've decided that I'm definitely getting plastic surgery, and likely very soon, because I need to make sure it doesn't overlap with my hubby's RNY which he will have sometime this year. The surgery center I'm going to go through is scheduling 4 to 6 weeks out, and I have to get the financials worked out, but I'm hoping that I will be able to do the surgery before the end of July. My hubby has to work out some stuff with his job before his surgery, so I'm hoping he won't be planning on that until at least September, though he has to do it this year since we have hit the maximum out of pocket for our insurance which means eveyrthing for the rest of the year is fully covered at 100%.
DD2QOTD: I hold my sneezes in most of the time. It's almost like if I let it out full force I will blow my head right off, lol. So, most of the time you'll a squeak from me. I have actually sneezed without holding it in before, and it feels wonderful, but I'm afraid to do it, lol. I know, I'm weird.

Yes! That sounds like a great plan. The tummy and the chest are the two area I love the most now post PS. Arm are a close third though. Add later if you need to. I really didn't think much about what I was doing when I got the implants and they really are pretty big. I think you are way smarter than I was to do it this way.

I hope things continue to go well for your husband and for your family.
Europe: My husband and I went a couple of years ago to celebrate turning 50. We went to Prague for a week, then to Amsterdam for 3 days. Loved both cities! We had been to other parts of Europe on our own as college students, so we chose these cities as longer visits, where we could really get to know the places. Prague is just stunning, so beautiful, so much history.
Thank you!
We're planning on going to Edinburgh Scotland. Hoping to stay for 10 days or more in Scotland. We may head down to London for a day or two, depending on how everything goes. We haven't actually started planning it yet, other than just a rough idea. We'll be taking my oldest who will be 18 by then and my baby who will be 4. I'm excited!
Good Morning! Thank you for starting us out this morning. My weekend was nice- beach day Saturday and just a few errands yesterday.
QOTD: I try and stifle my sneezes which my father in law always told me was bad to do... he would tell me you need to let it out.

got back home late last night from NC. My eating was pretty bad a couple of the days I was there, but fortunately, my weight was OK this morning. Back to it today! I'm also glad I can add some cardio back into my routine, as long as it's not too much pressure on my ankle. The physical therapist gave a thumbs up to Aqua Zumba (yay!) and said stationary bike was OK, too. Good - as much as I love yoga, that's all I've been doing for weeks, so I'm looking forward to going back to at least of my other favorite activities this week.
I need to start using some of this food that's in my two freezers, so grocery shopping today will consist mostly of produce and dairy. I already have meat coming out of my ears!
23 months out (maintenance):
B: homemade Greek yogurt, flaxseed, strawberries
S: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: maybe some of the zucchini lasagna I've had frozen since Christmas??
D: turkey meatballs or turkey burger, cole slaw with sesame-miso vinaigrette
exercise: yoga
