Update
Hello everyone!
I was wanted to do a quick update...
I am 18 weeks out and down 88 pounds.
I have to admit that I can't believe the weight loss.
I am pleased with my results so far and I am 20 lbs. away from my goal.
I can't believe that I have actually have collar bones and ribs. I occasionally catch a glance of myself in the mirror and I am in awe.
I am tolerating my food and love the diet for life food choices.
I have found that I truly enjoy everything that is going into my mouth.
I find that I am finding the water a lot of work.
I have been very busy with life and I have not had a chance to get to the gym.
It has been like Gotham City here with all the rain and flooding. Finding the doom and gloom is a bit frustrating.
I don't really have a whole lot of stamina. I guess my body is readjusting and I have a lot of joint and muscle pain.
The excess skin is not fun but I would not give up the weight loss for anything.
Love Love Love all the positive comments and support.
I get a lot of ... okay... You are too skinny STOP now.
I should just nod and walk away but quite honestly when you are over weight? You get a lot of... you should lose some weight. When you lose the weight? Oh you are too skinny.... Really?
Going to continue on this amazing journey.
Hoping to become more active when Mother Nature calms down ...
Sandra

That is fantastic progress!! :)
Two things recommended to me for the "you're too skinny" comments that I thought I would share:
1) Don't worry, my weight loss is being supervised by a doctor and he/she/they are happy with my progress.
2) You aren't used to seeing me smaller and healthier. I know it's a shock for you, but I'm definitely healthier now.
The only comment that kind of threw me was "you don't have cancer or anything, do you?"
Meg~
Today, someone said to me "are you still trying to lose?". I told them I was about 20lbs from goal and he said "I'm not sure where you're going to get it from, because there's not much left of you!". This was a beloved family member and I did take it as a compliment, but I told him exactly what you said re: my doctor supervising me AND the fact he hadn't seen me since surgery so it looked drastic. I am far from underweight!

Hi Sandra,
You're doing great! I'm so happy for you!
Can I ask, what is your calorie/carb range? I know we're all different but you're doing so well I thought you'd be a good example to follow.
I have issues with stamina too. I've been very active, but I'm sleeping like a rock, lol. It's hard to wake up in the morning. I'm blessed that I can usually sleep in until my body decides it's time to get up.
Take care,
Kathy

Hi Kathy!
How are you doing?
Congratulations to you!
You are doing pretty freakin amazing too!
I do not track my calories too much!
Eating clean and getting 90-120 gms of protein is my goal on a daily basis.
I stay away from starches completely, although I did have a tiny piece of Farm Boy Muesli bread with peanut butter today.
My calories based on what I eat sits between 600-900 daily.
poached eggs, raw veggies with humous, all cheeses, fruit, Rio Mare tuna, chili, Greek yogurts, almonds, chili, turkey slices, Costco quinoa salad,(it has chopped tomatoes, cucumber, parsley, green lentils, green onions), lentil soups, ricotta, tuma cheese, vegetable soups, cream cheese, 5 bean medley.
I am a bit vegetarian as dense meat proteins just don't sit well with my pouch still. I did have a bite of a hamburger (no bread) with guacamole, tomatoes, ketchup & cooked onions.... Took a long time to eat but it was pretty freakin amazing....
I weigh myself daily....
Struggling with the water... Just so tired of it...
Drink a lot of herbal decaffienated teas....
Occasional decaffienated coffee... Latte
Greek yogurt is my go to.... Love it!
I am so busy and active right now....
Absolutely no sedentary life....
I have found the weight loss is slowing down.
My weight management centre would like me at 190 but I am shooting for 175...
I am going to keep going and see where this amazing journey will take me.
88 lbs. is so incredible to me. I still can't believe it... I am in awe of this process and have convinced 2 of my friends to have the RNY...
They are amazed how successful I have been ...
I know the real hard part will be maintaining it...
I will cross that bridge age I get to it...
For now I am enjoying the journey!

IN THE END WE ONLY REGRET CHANCES WE DIDN'T TAKE.
I'm 17 weeks out on Tuesday and also about 20lbs from goal! I totally get what you're saying abou****er being the work. I'm also satisfied with the food I'm eating and that's very strange to me because I was such a "I need to eat 5 different things per meal so I can have 'different tastes' type of person". Now I love my yogurt and my cheese and my meat.
We're also drowning in rain here in extreme upstate NY. I hope it's pretty much done now! Next week is looking lovely!

You are doing great!
How tall are you? Ignore anyone at this point that gets on to you for losing too much, because even though you know it, somehow sometimes that will make it better to have a bite or two of something you shouldn't...
Keep on keeping on, and enjoy the journey!!
