What's on your Sunday Menu RNYers?
Good morning all - I am at work again today so a quick read and quick post and back to work for me.
Happy Mother's day to all of the moms. As some of you mentioned in earlier posts - this is also a hard holiday for me. I lost my mom two years ago in what was a botched surgery so it was very unexpected. I am very grateful for the few days that I had with her while she was in the hospital before she passed. I at least did get to tell her how much I loved her and I got to say good bye. I miss her everyday. I will be going to the cemetery after work to give her some flowers. I used to always give her a gift card on Mother's Day to a local florist so that she could buy flowers for her yard. She loved her flowers.
QOTD: I deal with stress now by just keeping busy - finding something to do. I used to eat my stress away, well try to anyway. Now I will read, clean, walk any thing to get my mind on something else.

Good morning guys!
Yesterday was a busy but great day...had breakfast with my cousin, her husband, my sister and BIL, did a little shopping, met up with my BFF who I hadn't seen in awhile and ended the day at the drive in. Today I'm doing laundry, shopping for the week, prepping for dinner at my moms (we're bringing in all the food), going to watch a baseball game and then spending the evening with family at my moms house. Should be another great day.
QOTD I wish I had a more standard response to things, sometimes stress or emotions will make me shut right down and I don't want to eat anything, while other times I want to eat anything and everything. Keeping busy definitely distracts my brain and staying out of arms reach of the food is helpful but sometimes that's just not far enough and I will take off on a walk.
5+ months post op and another day of menu uncertainty, yesterday went well though and I'm taking the lead on Mothers Day dinner food so I know I'll be able to stick to the plan... once I figure out what it is.
Happy Mothers Day to those who are celebrating and hugs to those who are missing loved ones a little bit more today.

QOTD: Lately my stress coping has been exercise... Not that I haven't been exercising all along, but I was doing it at home...and it was on and off the last year with all my surgeries..... Am in a very stressful period and the going out of my house to the gym...and out of my house to run have been lifesavers...the consistency has given me peace, and the running is very meditative.
That being said when I am staring down the fridge...I have the good cop/bad cop talk with myself in my head... and if I am really struggling... a good 45 minute jump on my rebounder trampoline while watching my 600lb life snaps me back to reality...I do not want to go back...
B: Coffee latte w/fairlife/coconut MCT oil
S: 2 eggs
L: grilled chicken, cesear dressing
D: Steak
There maybe some veggies thrown in there...
Snacks: Siggis yogurt and blueberries,
