What's on your Saturday menu RNYers?
OK I do not particularly have a green thumb...as in not. I don't even understand this line, what language are you speaking? I understand 'heading to visit' and 'farm'... that phrase in between does not compute
"afterwards, we're heading to visit a hop yard to pick up some rhizomes to try growing on the farm!" ???
That being said I brought hard to kill plants into my home because it is supposed to help with the air quality in your home, and I have year-round allergies and issues. I have lots of African violets in my dining room as they seem to love it. Someone recently gave me an orchid and I haven't killed it yet....and lastly I have a pineapple plant I grew from the top of a pineapple.
My cousin in FL grows pineapples and gave me a pineapple when I saw them at my son's wedding and gave me instructions on how to grow it. She said they are impossible to kill...my kinda plant. But so much pressure...I was cursing her a little under my breath when I went to buy the pot etc.... 4 months or so in, I was sure it was dead, so yanked it out to throw it out and saw roots... yikes!! so replanted... almost 6 years later still alive. They were here last summer and said I needed a second plant to get pineapples.....thank God she hasn't sent me another pineapple... too much pressure...
QOTD: Projects for the summer are rotator cuff surgery and rehab. I think I have worked through all the stages of grief and am now at acceptance.
Hopefully trying to get a website for an online business off the ground in the midst and want to start writing a book...it has been brewing for too long, need to do it. Thinking maybe I can start with dictating, since my arm will be out of commission. Looks like my son and family maybe back in the states in July- was supposed to be the end of this months, but looks like plans are probably changing... I also teach a lot of Art classes over the summer at the local library- and in God's providence I am mentoring an Art Intern this summer who is between her junior and senior year of her Bachelor's in fine art.... with the surgery, I would have had to cancel otherwise. She can lug for me, I can do the talking and she can do the painting....That finalized 2 days before I found out I needed surgery...
B: Coffee Latte w/fairlife/coconut MCT oil
L: Steak, spinach
D: ???? need to do a freezer dig :)
Snacks: Cottage cheese, Protein Hot Chocolate, trail mix?
I need to make some of my homemade trail mix...it is a good go-to for me and doesn't seem to negatively effect the scale....

Hi everyone,
Not much going on today. I'm still not feeling well today. Still recovering from a nasty stomach bug. I did actually eat a scrambled egg today. It's the first food I've been able to eat in 3 days. Drinking lots of green tea and I did drink a synthrax protein drink(thanks Daisy!).
No menu for today... just stay hydrated.
QOTD: trying to get a large spot in my back yard to grow grass. Nothing major planned.
Have great day everybody!

Good morning all (barely) - I am at work on break and thought I would read and post quick.
Today marks two months since my surgery, I was really hoping to be down 120 pounds today, but my scale did not cooperate. I have been stuck at 119.2 for three days, but I guess I can be happy with that number too. I lost the same amount of weight month 2 as I did in month 1 so I can live with that.
QOTD: I have 5 whiskey barrels that I need to plant flowers in and my whole yard needs to be sprayed for weeds. I am going to get weeds sprayed on Monday and then I am hoping to get flowers planted on Friday or Saturday. As for summer travel plans I will be going camping a few times this summer and I am taking a trip to Texas in July for a week to visit a dear friend and see my sister.
Menu:
B - Star-Kist light tuna pouch
L - Chicken Mozzarella meatballs (3), zucchini noodles, 1/2 c marinara sauce

Calories - 605, Protein - 90, Carbs - 25
