What's on your Saturday menu RNYers?
Funny I just pulled a raincoat out of the closet and I'm swimming in it too. So much clothing I barely got to wear in the first place and now most of it is already too big. You generally don't think about things like having to replace all your underwear in your pre-op process but clothing has become a slight problem.
Me and my wife both had to buy coats in Paris. We both brought ski-type jackets and honestly we stood out like sore thumbs. Horrendous.
Yesterday I tried to have a bit of pizza and it did not work out so today it's back to basics
QOTD I'm an apartment dweller so no big plans but my wife always summers with her family in South America so I usually purge my place of evil foodstuffs and try and lose weight. Well I'll have quite the head start this year and the first goal is to leave the land of the obese and bring my BMI under 30
Good morning Menu Family!!! Happy Saturday busy day here.. This morning before it starts raining I am going to get going and go out and hit some golf balls. The weather has been so awful I have not made it out golfing with my dad once yet so I figured I can at least hit into the practice net for at bit. Then the usual groceries and errands. Tonight my husband is taking me to dinner for Mother's Day and we are going to pick up an air conditioner to bring to our daughter in DC next weekend. They are much cheaper here in VT then down there.
QOTD: Summer is such a busy time for us because of my husbands job requires him to do a lot of projects at work when students are not around so he works a lot. As for me I will be working on the computer conversion I have been working on and will be working on until next spring. We will try and squeeze in a couple of long weekend trips to DC to see our daughter and maybe a trip or two to Boston to see the Red Sox. I would also love to take my husband to a day of Patriots training camp we have never done that and is kind of on our bucket list.
Menu:
B: 2 hard boiled egg whites, half caff coffee
L: ham and cheese
D: Don't know my husband wants to go to this Italian restaurant. I know it supposed to be my Mother's Day dinner but we are going where he wants to go.. So I will either get sausage & meatballs or the chicken parm with no pasta.

Today's plans are for coffee, as soon as I get outta this lab. Gah, fasting is no fun.
Menu has boiled eggs, not sure how I'll prepare them yet, hubbys vote is egg salad, we'll see.
I have all of the parts I need to repair and clean the pool. It's getting a new pump/motor, key cover assembly and chlorinator this year. I'll need a few plumbing fittings, but that's a simple stop and it's right next door to Starbucks. Totally doable!! Yeah, swimming will be my exercise in the coming weeks!
Food other than eggs is up in the air, maybe some barbecue or hot dogs.

Happy Saturday everyone!
This is the first time I've even opened up my laptop since last weekend... life=crazy. In a matter of a month I've gone from unemployed and going stir crazy to working 50+ hours a week and running around in circles after work before collapsing into bed... most days I have to push myself a little to stay up at least until it's dark lol. On the plus side I'm feeling great about all of it, work is going well, the weight loss etc is on track, we have family in town this weekend and I've got lots of plans to go out and visit with people I haven't seen in awhile. Exhausted but with a smile on my face!
QOTD Summer is my busiest time at work so we don't plan vacations but we're talking about taking off up north to my BF families hunt camp for a few weekends just for a change of scenery. My big summer event will be our 9th annual memorial golf tournament. My mom, sister and I organize a golf tournament in memory of my dad and we raise money for our local Ronald McDonald House. We've sponsored a bedroom, their Meals that Heal program and we're now considering what our next project might be. Last year we raised over $11000 and our goal is always to improve on last years total, which admittedly is getting harder. It's a ton of work but it's a great day and we have no plans to stop.
Food this weekend is a huge ? because I don't plan on being home much the next two days but I've done well the few times we've eaten out so I'm not concerned. If anything I think my paranoia about having a bad reaction out in public has me eating less than I would if I was home.

QOTD: I rarely travel because I don't like to have to board my two dogs, so no travel plans this summer for me. My daughter is planning a trip to Ireland in August, though. Next weekend we will celebrate my youngest niece's graduation from High School. She was just 5 years old when her mother died so I've tried to be like a 2nd mom to my brother's 8 kids, (four of which were still at home when his wife died). My brother has done a wonderful job of raising his kids as a single parent!

Morning folks! No run today thanks to the rain:-( I went to the gym instead and did circuit training. I'm at bowling and today is the last day-- yipee! I finally will have my Saturday mornings back. Today the hubs and kids are going to an arena football game. I'll have the house to myself- I'll know I'll do a home mani/pedi and probably catch up on recorded shows.
Qotd: hubby plans on power washing the deck, a brand new power washer showed up at our door yesterday. That's the only Summer specific project in the works. I want to repaint the living/dining room but will wait for fall.

Good morning. I'm at my parents house with my dad. I slept in the recliner, I'm sore everywhere and have a headache. My sister is relieving me here at 10 this morning. I actually get to go home and shower today! It's BFs birthday soon and we are celebrating today. Whatever he wants to do today, it's his choice. Honestly I just want to relax and nap at home, but I can do that on Sunday. Waiting to call the hospital for an update on my mom.
Qotd- we are looking to move so that is a project in itself!

Good morning,
Yesterday I was at a store, saw all the hanging plants wishing I didn't live in apartment without a balcony. Also made me miss my mom because I would buy her flats of flowers for Mother's day. Can't believe its been 20 years since she left us.
